Happy Birthday...to Me!

In honor of my birthday,
On my blog I wrote a rhyme,
A summary of my years thus far,
And lessons learned in time.

The question posed to you,
My BC friends and colleagues,
Do you find that writing rhymes
Tends to come to you with ease?

I don't consider myself as a rhyming person. I remember trying a few times in school as a part of my homework but I always ended up asking others for help.

Thanks everyone!!! I'm not the best at poetry/rhymes but I can usually pull something out. My Dad has written his toasts at all of our weddings (and at a couple second weddings) so I think it's genetic!

I don't know, I've sometimes thought of writing words that rhyme a lot. So when I must, I sit and think of words and feeling, thoughts that link past and future, 'me' and 'we:' flotsam on our minds' shared sea.

Oh, and 'happy birthday!'

  Thank you!! I'll have to post my Thanksgiving poem from last year that I submitted to our local (toilet) paper - they of course trimmed it to four lines, making me sound like an anti-social cat-loving freak. But I digress! Thanks for the birthday wishes and looking forward to scintalating convo's with you!
