I wouldn't say I either loved or hated it, but the movie made me laugh. All the teenage sexual angst was much more subtle in the book--it had us laughing out loud in the theater.

Indeed, it was the teenage sexual angst which made me laugh at the theater! Very funny, especially Ron!

I enjoyed for itself, as a movie, but in relation to the book ... there was too much missing. They should have made the movie 3 1/2 hours long and thrown in some of the important stuff - Tom Riddle backstory, Bill's upcoming marriage to Fleur, Dumbledore's memorial ...

It was good, but left me wanting more.

yup, yup. i saw the midnight showing i couldn't wait for it. i left feeling like the movie was INSPIRED by the book. the important stuff was left out. it seemed more of a comedy idk.

I loved it! I thought the humor was great. The action was great. The cinematography was beautiful. I thought the ending captured the sadness of Dumbledore's loss nicely.

I did notice that quite a bit of the plot from the book was missing. I can barely remember the book and if I noticed a lot was gone, then the Harry Potter fanatics may be very disappointed.

I agree with the cinematography and the humour ... thought Harry was hilarious after taking the lucky potion!

      Guess I just needed more.

Having said that, Cathy and I are going to go see it again in a few weeks, once the kids have all seen it. That way we can give it more attention.

COMMENT: Yeah, there were some stuffs lacking in the movie. nevertheless, it was still enjoyable! You know what, Dumbledore's memorial was lopsided. It should had been more grand. Seriously.

Well, as a Fan, I thought, there are some parts which could had been improved. There were lesser action and Dumbledore's burial was as I said, lopsided. It was weak.
