Has anyone here used Scoutle? What about Link Referral?

Okay, I'm ready to take my blog to the next level and amp up my readership. I've been holding steady at 10 or so readers/day average since I've been tracking (2+ months), and my goal is 100/day average. It seems doable, doesn't it?
In order to do this, I guess I'm going to have to use more networking stuff, but I don't want a zillion more widgets and accounts I have to keep track of, so I want to focus on primo link sites. I also don't want to spend 27 hours a day networking (BC already takes up most of that time ha ha). I've looked at Stumble, Digg, and Entrecard, and for various reasons they each put me off.
Through other sources I've found Scoutle, which is fairly new and is coming out with a new version this month. It looks good to me, but can anyone tell me if it's really increased their readership?
Then, there's Link Referral. It's supposed to give good results, but it also has a pyramid-scheme type structure, and that really puts me off.
So: Scoutle? Link Referral? any feedback? Any others I should know about?
My blog and I thank you!

I tried Link Referral - and I had zero success with it, seemed like I just gave links instead of ever getting any
But I've heard other people claim fantastic success with it. *shrugs* My best traffic flow has been generated by contributing on other blogs, commenting, and just generally through word of mouth.
I don't know if she's on today - but TimeSlave has a post, well, several actually, that deal with increasing traffic. She touches on several aspects. Maybe she'll swing by later and give some links. I should have bookmarked them while I was there. LOL -
I just joined Scoutle...no avalanche of traffic (that's a mixed metaphor, isn't it?) yet, but it's only been a few minutes....

I have link referral, and I have had increased traffic, but no comments, so no links....
And you have to "surf" and review other sites in order for yours to be seen, so it can be a time thief... -
Scoutle wants to send only interested readers which may not help you get thousands of new readers every day, but increases the chance they will actually stay longer and may return. Either through Scoutle or their own bookmarking sites. Scoutle wants to connect blogs that are alike, just to get noticed by those that are likely to like your blog. This makes it hard to see if users came through Scoutle first and come back later using other ways but Scoutle is more about helping your blog and not just us getting more visitors. Your Scout does all the searching, networking, connecting and more. You just work on your blog.
The new version of Scoutle will be launched, like you mention, this month and I promise you, you will love it. Not only will it have many more features, it is also much more social and users are better protected against spam. Scoutle doesn't want to waste your time.
But well... of course I recommend Scoutle Version 2.0 because of the 4 months fulltime programming :). However, I do hope to see you soon, having an activated Scout running around on the Internet. Our early adopters helped improve Scoutle with hundreds of suggestions. We improve Scoutle every day.
Kind regards,
Godfried (Scoutle)

Link Referral works. I liked that site. I received great reviews and ratings even networked with some members. It's a give and take.

There's no pyramid-scheme type structure. Where did you hear that from? lol
You view some sites, give reviews/rating and get the same thing back. Simple stuff. Try it out. It's free and you can always quit.-

I think it depends on what type of site you are using it for. I didn't have it for my blog, but instead for an online shop.
I got lots of reviews and visits, but it was just from people who were trying to get their 30 clicks for the day and not really anyone looking to shop. -
Hi pumpkinlights,
There are many uses for traffic sites. One is just for those who are looking for number amounts of traffic. For owners that have an online store, should look for targeted audience in other realms of the net such as classified ads, search engines, articles, niche forums etc...
What I ended up doing was basic networking with people that visited. You know how you can comment back after they reviewed and rated? I received alot of positive response that they would ask me if they could contact me and took it from there. And yes, you do get people who just want the clicks which lucky for me, I didn't encounter from those who reviewed my site.

Adsense will banned you for it. Some traffic exchange sites are also forbidden
I have used link referral before and I have achieve small amount of traffic thats why I stop it. I haven't heard about scoutle before and maybe this time I will try it. I will be back soon for more comments about scoutle. -
Well, I did it - I joined Scoutle about 20 min ago - so no increase in traffic yet, ha ha! The blogger widget is new, and was very easy to use. Now I just have to wait for that little walking guy in my blog widget to meet all kinds of other interesting see what happens:-)
Thanks, everyone, for chiming in on this topic! -
Linkreferral SUCKS! As do other affiliate and MLM programs that promise the moon and don't deliver and are selfeffacing and time wasters, sorry but so true! Yes I got hits in the two years there but.quite frankly I want viewers to my blog on closer to sane on blogspot and to my site Artzstuf and buyers of my art and jewelry I design! For this I think your best bet is commenting on others' blogs and in forums with a link to your site and keep your own money as contrary to what they claim and what others say..Linkreferral and other sites like it..are not FREE! As time is money and it takes time to review other people's sites and visit them and comment in their lame forum! Plus I found many of its' members to be obnoxious jerks!! Also the site owner charges you for your own referrals you give him! Most affiliate programs like adultfriendfinder for instance, pay you for the privilege of having their link on your site! I use entrecard,easyhits4u and blogupp as well as project wonderful and spot advertising thru adbrite to get soem hits to my sites. Give them a try! also if you make things,Etsy is good as even has a chat room to connect with other crafters and artists like me! Blogcatalog is good too as you are seen in a box when you visit or comment on a blog and others vist you in return. Win,win!!
