Have An iPhone? Want Push Notification For Apps?!

Is it just me or are you tired of waiting for the iPhone to introduce Push for applications. This feature was due in September of 2008. It's January of 2009 and there hasn't even been one word spoken about it by Apple. What do you think is going on?
