    I had a girlfriend in Phuket for about 3 years and spent all my days off there. Flying every week end from Bangkok to Phuket. Nice memories...

    I actually found the western beaches to be rather disappointing - you wouldn't even know you were in Thailand with all the euros laying around sunbaking. I stayed in Phuket Town and like roentarre says: the best massage in the world!
