I have never met someone online in person. I don't trust people. . .well that and I'm have never met any one that I cared enough to meet in person. I was talking to this guy and he said he met his gf on myspace! To me that seems kind of desperate. . .you know turning to the internet to find someone dateable.

When I first started in the early 90's, I tried to seek out people that were either within a couple of hours' drive so we could get together or so far away that I would - most likely - never meet them in person, but they could tell me about where they lived, etc. Oddly, I met two of my distant friends - one from Panama and one from Austria - because I happened to live near one of the busiest airports in the world. Also, I met my wife through the Internet (no, she didn't win me on eBay). I've managed to reconnect with a lot of people I had lost track of over the years. I keep in touch with my relatives more than I ever did just by phone or cards. And now through my blog, I've found a number of people around the world that I follow what's going on with them and they with me.
