You heard me right.
One time I made bacon chocolate chip cookies but I only used four strips of bacon so the flavor went relatively unnoticed.
Today I made bacon peanut butter cookies and used eight strips of bacon! What a wonderful turn out.
So the question is, would you eat them?

    No! Yuck!

This kind of reminds me of that site, "Paula Deen is Trying to Kill Us"

She made a breakfast sammy of (drum roll please)

A steak patty, bacon, and egg, all sandwiched in between TWO Krispy Kreme donuts. So disgusting.

It sounded almost as artery-clogging as her deep fried cheese cake.

      that sounds freaking awesome!

That does sound awesome. Last night I was dipping banana loaf in garlic/mayo dip. It was quite good
    3. cookingasshole
      now that is freaking gross

Larrybrains--I just threw up a little in my mouth! Thanks!

I would totally eat bacon cookies. I really wish that people would combine more savory and sweet items together, it is a world of flavor that is untapped.

this patisserie near my house has a peanut butter and bacon truffle which is out of this world. They also have a blue cheese truffle which is not too bad either.

savory and sweet, I get--I love Thai and Vietnamese food.

But there's just something wrong about bacon in cookies.
    3. larrybrains
      But something so right...

Any food wrapped in bacon has to be good, right?

bingo! bacon anything is great! I challenge anyone to come up with a bacon food mixture that would not be awesome.

      bacon baklava?
    3. cookingasshole
      okay you win...that sounds gross
    4. larrybrains
That was quick, but I think baklava would be delicious with bacon. Kind of like how when you are eating pancakes with syrup all over them and the syrup gets on some of your fruit salad and on your bacon, and you grab a fork full of all three. It's delicious.

i hate syrup on my fruit...gross

I don't eat much bacon but once in a while I may have a craving for bacon and I satisfy that craving by having some bacon. Yes bacon cookies sounds delicious and I bet they smell good too.

i saw this on your blog a couple of days ago - looks yummytastic

this is a new one believe it or not. The first run was chocolate chip and these were peanut butter. HUGE difference.

I'm scared that I can almost comprehend the peanut butter and bacon concept.

But bacon on its own is such perfection. How can you improve on bacony goodness really?
    1. legbamel
Ack! First Bacon-Os for breakfast, now bacon cookies for dessert. What's next?! Can I never escape the greasy, fatty, chewy pig bits? [sob]

There there, Legbamel- remember, you're a pair of sneakers...

The most you can eat is filet of sole.

I'm gonna have to say No:) But my husband would probably want the recipe!
    1. cookingasshole
it is really easy. just take your regular cookie recipe and then right at the end mix in 8 strips of bacon (chopped up of course). You can see my blog for details ;).
