    1. siralmo
      not telling
  8. footiam
    That means 'no"?
  9. footiam
You are a hard nut. I take that is 'no' for an answer.
  10. SaffronBlu
Once. I'm a believer in the whole- you live once, fall in love once, get married once and die once philosophy. So, a hopeless romantic at heart hehe
  11. stellak
There have been times when I thought i'd fallen in love, but then I realized it wasnt love at all...so then no i havent.
  12. jeremyjanson
    Once, with cheese.
    1. footiam
      The cheese is lucky!
  13. shesgotculture
Twice with people who didn't actually exist (the story of my ex-marriages) and once, just this past year, that puts all of that to shame.
  14. celticmusicfan
i have fallen inlove 4 times in my life.
    1. footiam
      Those must be wonderful experiences!
  15. srirampaniraj
no looking for a good partner
  16. harveyavatar
Disadvantage of falling: you must ultimately pick yourself up.
  17. LolitaV
counting my children out (2), I'd say once.
  18. wagerwitch
I thought I had been in love a couple of times before.

I was married 2 times before.

    BUT I WASN'T IN LOVE.

I am now - and what a freaking difference!
    1. LolitaV
      how can you tell
    2. wagerwitch
Because I can't breathe without him - after 3 years.

Every other human being I've been with before it was just ok after 3 MONTHS...

But with my hubby now... it's like the earth stands still when we are together - it's like NO ONE ELSE MATTERS... - and the earth could fall apart (and trust me, it kinda did) but as long as we have each other - we're ok...

And - we can understand each other...

We can be in a crowded room - and still be alone totally together...

We blended instead of becoming separate individuals...

And my heart still beats fast when he is coming back when he leaves for an hour...

And I can't wait to snuggle in bed with him.

And I just breathe his scent in...

And when we touch there is electricity still...

And when I close my eyes and put my head on his chest - he can talk me to sleep...

      And we laugh...

And we accept each others good points and bad points...

And I'm NOT tired of him...

And I'm not sick of dealing with things he does wrong - I just think of it as another experience...

And he makes my pains go away...

      He keeps my mind occupied.

      He makes me happy.

Without him - the world would be bleak.

He feels like he is my other half - my whole reason for existing.

And I love him - like I breathe.
    3. LolitaV
oh Ww, you should let him read this. so beautiful!
    4. wagerwitch
LMAO - he hears it every single day from me.

I came too close to death recently - and have had poor health - so I don't believe in holding ANYTHING back any more. I believe in telling everyone how I really feel - at all times.

      Life is just to short.

      Love you Lols!
  19. nothingprofound
I've fallen into like-I fall everyday. But that's as far as I'm willing to go.
    1. wagerwitch
      Into LIKE - *snarf* *giggle*

Ahhh poor thing... Love is amusing and interesting - and kinda cool...

it's not that blah I like you and could be your roommate forever feeling.
    2. nothingprofound
To each their own, WW. I still like you even though you assume the superior position.
    3. wagerwitch
Yeah - top is always good...
    4. nothingprofound
Not always. It's better to be on the bottom when you fall.
    5. wagerwitch
I dunno - you haven't had me fall on top of you yet... LMAO!
    6. nothingprofound
Stop by on your way to Maine and we'll give it a go.
  20. dReeMuth
yeah i.m fallin in love that so cool
  21. aspotofblog
I thought it was falling in love. It was probably only lust.
  22. cazywaz
i always fall in love with strangers for some reason.. its probably just the mystery.
and then when i get to know them, i don't anymore.
  23. stayfitbug
Once properly...and i will do it again 2
  24. arielkrodot
    when I met my girlfriend
  25. NatetheGrate
Repeatedly. Only been married once, however.
  26. XxJamberxX
Nope I doubt I ever will. This is a choice
  27. SaNn
    Fall in love!!!
  28. Selvia
Only once ,my first love and now I am happily married to him after waiting for 20 years. We celebrated our sixth wedding anniversary yesterday.
  29. AquilusDomini
ah, i've fallen into lust many many many times, but actual love, only once.
  30. countsneaky
Wagerwitch is quite right and puts it beautifully. Perhaps,it is a problem of semantics. Remove "falling" and replace it with "being"...being in love!
This is what the lovely Wagerwitch means. I have been married to the same woman for for 53 years. And, I have been in love with her for 53 years. My best. Count Sneaky.
  31. aspotofblog
You guys who are so in love with your life-long partners are seriously lucky. Not everyone is lucky to experience it, let alone once in their lifetime. I don't know what this love is of which you speak. Maybe people experience love differently?
  32. dazzlair
I struggled with this for a long time. But quoting Julian Barnes:

"Love may nor may not produce happiness; whether or not it does in the end, it's primary effect is to ENERGISE. Have you ever talked so well, needed less sleep, returned to sex so easily, as when you were first in love?...Shall we make this distinction: that love enhances the confidence, whereas sexual conquest merely develops the ego?"

I interpret that to mean that ultimately love is a teaching experience and it must be our one hope in life. If that be true, then yes, I've been in love.

    Dazz
    1. footiam
many other things besides love, is a teaching experience.
  33. sorcerer
1.... then got busy with life
  34. Marcuss
once. then i never allowed myself to fall again. its too emotionally taxing.
  35. owlbarn
    Once, with my soul mate.
  36. nothingprofound
I almost died several times from a fall, but it wasn't love.
  37. pinkmonkeychatter
I'd like to fall in love with a man, but I keep breaking them.
  38. pinkmonkeychatter
Ahh..you don't realize that I have a very serious super glue phobia...
  39. Hetro
fall in love 3 times........and now going to engaged with 3rd one love
  40. AnastasiaFB
Oh, I fall in and out of love all the time. Honestly, I'm not joking. :-)
    1. ekim941
Me too. I need to find out what's causing that and have it surgically removed.

Unless, of course, it happens to be...well...you know...
    2. AnastasiaFB
      Yes, I think I do. :-))
    3. ekim941
I actually read a book about "Following your heart without losing your mind". Not like I would ever DO that but the title was clever.
    4. AnastasiaFB
Sounds good, except I think losing one's mind might very well serve as the core definition of love. :-)
    5. ekim941
      Or losing ones "self"
  41. HollytheHousewife
I thought I have a couple of times....turns out that with my marriage I was in love with the idea of playing house...

The 2nd time I truly though I had met my soul mate....turns out he already had like 2 or 3 soul mates
    1. ekim941
Wow. You know that's actually pretty revealing. This is the sort of thing that you have to come to grips with to make changes in your life and explore better options.
This may be a very good start for you.
  42. siralmo
Being in love by definition excludes the idea of a true love

it is flimsy and fragile at the best of times, and i am sure everyone will have been there at least a couple of times before

enamored: "marked by foolish or unreasoning fondness"

P.S i just had a look at my original answer XD hilarious
    1. crazyTsu
where did you get the defn from?
    2. crazyTsu
No I mean @"Being in love by definition"
  43. HollytheHousewife
@ mike thx my little bakwrd hat hottie
  44. ekim941
Recently in fact. It came out of nowhere and caught me completely off guard. You know, for years I have felt like there was something missing in my life and I have longed to fill that emptiness...that nagging whole in my heart.

One of my closest friends told me that you will find love when you least expect it and a great place to start looking was at the super market. Truer words were never spoken. There I was, standing in the frozen foods aisle when I first laid eyes on my true love, double fudge brownie ice cream.
  45. kat822
you had me at double fudge brownie ice cream
    1. ekim941
Well, I might share if you have a clean spoon.
The fork doesn't look all that...um...sanitary.
    2. kat822
wouldn't you like to know where the spoon is at
    3. ekim941
You win. The ice cream is all yours. I suddenly lost my appetite
    4. kat822
that was my evil plan all along, thanks
    5. ekim941
I know. That's why I only ate the brownie chunks and spat the rest back into the container.

      Enjoy!
    6. kat822

  46. HollytheHousewife

    1. ekim941
How dare you, evil temptress, try to lead me a stray from my precious double fudge brownie?
  47. HollytheHousewife
