Are you a member of Facebook, and do you link your blog to it?

I use the Blog Friends application to do this and find it really handy. My blog posts appear on my profile, and my friends' profiles (i.e. those who also use the app) profiles as well!

This is really handy if your friends have a large network!

I wrote more about this here earlier: allancockerill.com/blogging/blog-friends-have-ideas-to-level-the-blogospher...

Note: I'm not part of Blog Friends at all, but find it a great tool to use (and I get lots of subscribers and readers thanks to it).

BlogFriends really irritated me. I loved it at first, then they kept changing it all around, and that River crap was the last straw. I dumped it.

I have a thing on my blog that reflects my profile pic and status, and my notes have my feed embedded. That's good enough.

I must say that the hassles involved while they upgraded almost made me dump it too, but the new features, and those that they have planned, make up for it!

Apart from that, there weren't any options that came close to it...

I liked the old format too, but have found that as I've become used to the River that I actually prefer it! Helps to find other bloggers to relate as well!

Using a feed application on my profile( www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=906695396 ) and even got my own group( www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=7879665959)

I checked out your group, couldn't see the feed on your profile though because we aren't 'friends' on there!

That's where I found this application handy - people who aren't actually my friends can read my blog - and often add me as a result.

How is the group working out? I have a group there as well but have been neglecting it, unfortunately! www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=4801349865

I don't think my Facebook friends could handle it. In all seriousness, I'm not sure how many of them would be interested in reading a blog about fishing. Maybe one day when I think they are ready for it, I'll bridge the gap.

All I've ever caught, apart from a soaking, when fishing is a cold!

I did enjoy your blog though - I found it relaxing, and informative!

I also learned enough to make a bit of sense out of what my Father in law talks about too!

You might just be surprised at how many visitors you'd get!

      Fishing is fun

I usually find a lot of success fishing at the markets - I use $$$ as bait and usually manage to catch something!

I use "Networked Blogs" to connect with my friends and fellow bloggers.

I tried the Wordpress link to Facebook. It would work for about a day and then die. Now, I just paste links to my latest posts as some of my updates.

radioflyer1980, apart from Networked Blogs, you can share posts on Facebook by clicking the 'My Links' link on your profile page.

There is a 'share this' on Facebook button which you can drag on to your tool bar, and instantly share any site that you browse on FB.

It looks like this is what I've been doing manually up to this point. I'll have to try the little "Share on Facebook" button. Thanks for the tip!

does pasting ur Facebook Badge in ur blog means ur linked.....i know dumb question
    1. ozegold
deviki, pasting your profile badge to your blog is a great way to get traffic to your Facebook profile.

If you want to promote your blog on Facebook, do as bizmashups does, and use networked blogs.

You can find them at apps.facebook.com/blognetworks/ - just follow the instructions when you get there.

If you have any hassles with it, let me know

I did once but i gave up. not all of them are into Celtic music
    1. bizmashups
Ya, celticmusicfan. That's the problem with niche blogs.
  9. celticmusicfan
Hahaha bizmashups...then i have another blog that i don't want to show because it contains personal issues. sigh to be to not to be.
