You need to see a doctor. It could be cancer.

    Or acid reflux.

I'd never wish acid reflux on anyone!

Still see a doctor. No one on this forum can actually help you. Just a doctor.

I think Acid Reflux is the more probable culprit. But I'll advice you to follow the general consensus -- visit you doctor.

I have Acid Reflux myself and experience constant heartburn, though I'm a CKD patient and it's a lot different.

Try to isolate what's been causing your heartburn. Mine is from over eating or anything that aggravates my hyperacidity like sodas, vinegars, chocolates, coffee...

So many things can cause that, but four times a day is frequent. It is risky to the esophagus, and over time can change the cells in the lining of the esophagus. If you have reflux, it really is a risk for esophageal cancer. Such frequent heartburn could be an sign of a peptic ulcer. You do need to see a doctor, and not take it lightly at all.

Heed kab625's words. not all heart burns are treated the same way. I take Maalox Suspension and even went to taking Omeprazole for my reflux. Do you think this would be suitable for you?

No, I think not. It is wise to see your doctor for he is the only one who could sensibly enlighten you on this matter.
