I am going to move over to Wordpress and need help choosing a domain name.
I originally started out my blog with MMO in mind but something I find myself doing more and more is trying to find ways of saving a few dollars which is the direction I am going to take.
Any suggestions on domain names?
So far I had thought of
extracents
centsfordollars
and the others I had come up with seem really stupid!
Your help is much appreciated.

Which niche is your blog in?
And what are your keywords?
Which tags are associated with your blog?
Do you sell products or services? If so what are they?
The forgoing are all important factors when it comes to selecting a domain name. Ideally you want the url for the domain and the blog title and subtitle to incorporate keywords, tags, names/brand of products of services.
Unsolicited advice: The worst place of all to discuss domain name ideas is on a forum like this one. There are just as many non BC member lurkers observing what we post here as there are members posting, perhaps even more. Among these will be opportunists who purchase doamin names and then "domain squat" writing for a time when they can flog the domain name for a profit. -
You shouldn't post your domain name publicly someone may use it before you
By the way if you want to spare some dollars you can get a free domain name with full dns support:

I agree with you 100%.
TLD is an abbreviation for top-level domain, and refers to the suffix attached to Internet domain names. Top-level domain is the highest level of the domain name system which is the most often used. There are a limited number of predefined suffixes, and each one represent a top-level domain. Examples: Current top-level domains include:
# com - commercial businesses; this is the most common TLD
# gov - U.S. government agencies
# edu - Educational institutions such as universities
# org - Organizations (mostly nonprofit)
# mil - Military
# net - Network organizations
# ca - Canada
# th - Thailand -
Well it's not really because it's not TLD, it's because it's cheap domain like .info so used to be abused by spammers so that indeed Google may indeed decrease its worthness.
Now don't forget that there are a huge number of criteria in Google algorithm which is secret and always changing as well as a lot of myths in SEO - for example you can have a high ranking with only a blogspot subdomain (type make money online on google you will see that one of the first site is a blogger blog). So for me the real practical reason is branding or commodity for the users who won't have to type the blogspot suffix.

@neox
Yes indeed. I gave the OP that unsolicited advice 5 days ago. He replied 5 days ago indicating he understood and would no longer be posting to this thread.
