I need help naming my young ballet student for a sort of fiction miniseries I plan to write for my blog.

I want it to be pretty and sort of old fashioned sounding, sort of. Any suggestions?

I'm thinking Nadyenka. Or Katie. Or Maruska. Probably not the last one lol.

Katie is the name of my daughter so I had to say it

I might do Zeonchka. I like the strange Russian names lol. A little hard to pronounce, though. And I just might use Katie because of that if I can't come up with something.
  4. Anok
    Anastacia

    or Katerina

I like that one. Now, tell me, which do you like better: Oksanochka or Nikolaevna?
    2. Anok
      I like Oksanochka, very pretty.

I'll take that in to consideration. I've been messing around on babynamescountry.com . It's very good for obscure and foreign names

      Kira or Adreana?

    Natasha
    Anoushka if she's russian
    Melinda if shes American

I like Anoushka, too. You replied while I was making the poll and stupidly, I didn't refresh this page to check. Oh well. People can vote for "other".

I have too many I like, so I started a poll.

Oh, and I also stupidly just realized that this may not work out the best because of me not having a premium membership on PollMonkey, but you can also vote on my blog.

I think I'm gonna go with Nikolaevna. Oksanochka reminds me too much of Oksana Skorik, with whom I am mildly obsessed already. Those were my top 2 anyway. I don't plan to start writing for a couple days, so I'll leave the poll up until then just to see.

if its in english, dont use a name that many americans may not be able to pronounce, i think its very important
      will it be in russian?
    2. sellytapgirl
Totally in English. I know, people won't be able to pronounce it. But I like my names! I might just name her Pepper or Katie.
