I have gone through it before. But i could not find what i was looking for. There is nothing on how the format or the sequesnce should be. And the examples given are too small (1-2 page).

      thank you for replying

do we really want to see tiny URL's in here? There's lots of white space to copy/paste real URL's!

      (just my 2 cents :D)

One or two pages IS a profile. If you need 10-15 pages then that is no longer a 'profile' as I see it. Anyway, my best suggestion is to get hold of a couple of annual reports of companies in the industry sector you are researching and structure your profile accordingly. While annual reports are not exactly a profile, they will give you some clues as to what key information that would be useful to include. Finally, looking at the 'About' pages on the websites of companies should give you an idea, too. There is no best answer as to how to write a company profile. It really depends on the company and the target audience, i.e. the purpose of the profile. As I said, look at company websites and look at annual reports.

text book/school projects rarely mimick real-world case studies (e.g. the chances of doing a company profile and/or business plan for Microsoft or General Motors and it being reviewed is slim) however, if you want a realistic online business site that can help give you the realworld examples and tools to help you write a sound business plan and/or company profiles that can help a local company (or future client or banker) - and this is only a tool, not a guideline - check out CCH's toolkit www.toolkit.com/small_business_guide/index.aspx for ideas. There are some examples in there, if you look hard enough.
