I need help with my tag line, right now I have "a mystic's piffle" and I'm not sure if I should include some reference to forest to tie in Willowby Woods
like:
Willowby Woods
the forest of Crystal Raven's piffle
OR
a forest of piffle
OR
one mystic's forest of piffle
OR
leave it as
OR
something else completely
but I really like the words mystic and piffle, but it can't be "mystic piffle" because it isn't.
Do I sound insane yet???

title is same as url, is just tag I am struggling with...
Crystal Raven's Mystic Forest
ty TT, it seems close, but not quite, cause I am the mystic, not the forest, it's a forest not only due to the Willowby Woods factor, but also due to the wide range of content, or seeing the forest for the trees etc.
k what about...
the forest of Crystal Raven's (fill in the blank???)
Sigh, am I the only one that thinks like this? -
The word "piffle" evokes a sense of lighthearted silliness, but "forest" has a rather majestic darkness to it. The two words seem to cancel each other out. If you want to go with the lightheartedness, I'd forget using the word "forest" and go with something light like "Crystal Raven's Puff of Piffle" or "pouf of piffle" or even "piffle pouf." "One mystic's puff of piffle." Instead of forest, consider such lighter words as glade, dell, (which are words for forest clearings), copse, thicket, coppice, or grove.
If you are going for the darker, more serious image, then words meaning "nonsense" need to be purged in favour of words implying that seriousness, like "musings" or "ponderings" or "reflections" or even "ruminations." You could use any of these words with forest.
Hope this helps! -
I understand what you are saying sweet, and it makes sense, but isn't irony, contradiction and being anti-asymmetrical the spice of life?
Good point though, now all I need to do is figure out whether I am terribly serious, or terribly silly, prob is that I can be one or the other, someone terribl serious who can be light hearted on occasion.
so it seems to be 2 votes to get rid of piffle
mystic musings has also been suggested, but I don't think that covers art or poetry-
asymmetry is one thing, but forest is a dark, heavy word that kinda crushes words like piffle, twaddle, nonsense, silliness. A lighter word than forest will support the lightness of the silliness.
You probably should give more weight to what TT is saying than my input, however. Your ultimate goal is to attract readers, after all.
Perhaps you can use your "piffle" tagline as a signature for each entry and create a title tagline along TT's suggestion?

Choose your keyword(s) or phrase carefully. IMHO "piffle" does not cut it. Ask your self this question:
What will potential blog readers type into search engines that will bring them to my site?
I'm sorry I wasn't clear on the first go-round - horrible head cold moving into chest & back. Must got to bed now.
Sweet dreams
P.S. There are keyword tools online but I'm to sick to locate them for you tonight.

I agree with timethief keywords are very important choose them carefully.
Use them in your tags/title/and sprinkle them in your post...Not to much though you don't want to look like you are keyword stuffing.. Search engines don't like that..
Wordtracker is a good tool to use to find out the popularity of a keyword.. -
I, on the other hand, love the word piffle, think of a forest as a bright, green, lively place, and think the two go well together. I've got a whole page for SEO - I like to see a tagline that's more like a snapshot of the blog's feel. How about "Willowby Woods: A Witch's Forest of Piffle and Poetry", if you'd like to include more of those words?

not:
Wiilowby Woods
A Witch's Forest of Piffle, Poetry & Painitngs?
A Witch's Forest of Piffle, Poetry & Art? -
Willowby Woods
the life, poetry & art of a witch
==========
Personally .. I don't get the "witch" part from reading your blog.
How about a tag line something like...
- the life, poetry & art of a mystic
- the mystical adventures in Willowby
- the life and times of Crystal Raven
or something non-witchy -
@Petlvr Personally .. I don't get the "witch" part from reading your blog.
ummm cause I am a Hedge Witch?
Did you look at my tag cloud? Or categories? hence posts about meditation, Sabbats, esbats, ritual, spirituality, the 3 part Hedge Witch series etc lol
This is legitimately one of my complaints though, my site does not look at all "witchy" and I can't figure out how to achieve that without "tacky"
I am also very colour blind so I tend to stick to colours I can see.
