U know google loves links. It is one of a criteria to boost your page rank. By default, wordpress will put "nofollow` tag to every commented posts when u put your URI. Even tough u commented alot to a blog, u wont be rewarded with higher links. Im suggesting each of us to remove that behavior by adding Dofollow wordpress plugin. Of course u need good spam plugin or moderated comments. what say u? more read here

I totally agree with KaigulaAndy, this is mine (vapaeso.blogspot.com/). I am adding your site to mine. Let me know when you do the same. Does anyone else want to trade links? It's even better if the blogs are related to each other. Check my blog out as it's difficult for me to describe my niche, but basically it's about what the internet can do for us, being generating profits, new services, new fads, new technology etc...

ermm dont get me wrong . i prefer to list a blog which has removed Nofollow tag . having said that, link exchange is another good way to help in PR. For blogspot user , u can google on howto remove the nofollow tag.
Andy, im adding u to my blogroll. :). If u have removed Nofollow tag later, please inform me as your blog will be shifted to NoFollow list-
Ok, I see that NoFollow would render trading links completley useless. I didn't know about that, how would you go about removing it. Thanks.

For some reason Blogger isn't me letting me add the code for No Follow Attribute on Comments. It comes up as NOT FOUND Error 404. I checked Blogger Status and it's ok. Oh well, I'll go and eat something and figure out what's wrong after I have some food in my belly.

I don't think that you want to ADD code to blogger--if I recall correctly, I had to go into the existing code and REMOVE part of it to make links "do follow"

I downloaded the dofollow.php from kimmo.suominen.com/sw/dofollow/
Clear, simple instructions and works right away. Just one dofollow.php to download and uplaod to your plgins directory and activate.
Of course good to have your Akismet ativated, as well as moderated comments. -

Hi caroline, akismet is a good spam plugin for wordpress and its included by default . u can read on howto enable akismet here:

Linklove is a another good plugin to remove "nofollow" tag. For Linklove you can set threshold number of comments needed for a commenter before "nofollow" tas is removed. head over to my site for further explanation -

Caroline, akismet is the best spam blocker plugin for Wordpress.

Akismet is a simple effective solution, not necessarily the best.
Like a lot of people I choose Spam Karma over Akismet, but you can also use Akismet as an additional calculation procedure within Spam Karma using a plugin.
Detecting false positives with Akismet is extremely time consuming if you have a lot of blogs.

You need to register with Wordpress.com and get an API key to use Akismet. IMHO, it's too much trouble. I choose Spam Karma as it's very straightforward. -

Last Spring I removed the no-follow from one of my blogs and used the do-follow plugin. Everything was fine until people like you started to make these lists on the 'net of blogs who DO-Follow - and, my spam increased 12 times normal. By end of summer, I deactivated the plugin and as I'm upgrading to wp v2.3 I've been trying to minimize my activated plugins. This Do-Follow will NOT be missed. -
I have, as I mentioned in another reply, made at least some of my blogs "do follow" in comments. However, I wanted to respond to this piece of the initial post: "Even tough u commented alot to a blog, u wont be rewarded with higher links."
That's how it's supposed to be. It's advantageous, surely, for people to get "credit" for those links until Google figures out a way to separate them out (and they will), but we were never meant to be getting credit for links in comments we left on other people's blogs. The whole reason that Google gives weight to backlinks is that it's an indication that SOMEONE ELSE has found your site or blog worth linking to. -

I also had that lead on do follow and I had that no follow thing removed from my blogger template just recently. I have no idea if all these linking could improve google ranking but since I'm newbie I just go with the flow along with you, old time blogger. This is my site lifemomento.blogspot.com. -
