Cheers, a little croaky. when i warm up it's usually spot on.

I just thought it would be nice to show a bit more of who I am at BC, and I need to test youTbe a bit as well.

Here's the funny thing. You make it look so easy that I want to go out and buy (Yet another) acoustic guitar. When I try to play, it looks and sounds much different

Good job, you got some mad skills.

      Thanks

Yeah, there's a lot going on there although it looks like I'm playing stuff all. There's a lot of little moving parts.

looks like someone forgot to tell you that you had a leaf on your face before you started recording.

      Haha! They're visual effects .

      Daniel

Yeah funny. I had to use some JVC software because the machine I was on only had that software. I needed to test the text and it had those leafy things, it was the only format it had with the placement of the text at that point on the screen.

I'll record a lot of other stuff decent quality soon, edited properly with no garden stufff floating around.

Just a test run to check the process

So, will you be putting more on you tube?
    1. acousticguitarist
      Yep.

All sorts of things of a much higher standard. Just a test of the technology
    2. Shiley
Good because I just subscibed to you.
    3. acousticguitarist
      Thanks Shiley

I wanted to play the guitar for a long time, so a few years ago I bought a video on how to play the quitar but even with the camera pointed straight at her fingers, I still couldnt' figure out what to do...her hand was covering the strings, she was calling out chords, but I couldn't see what she was doing. I was very disappointed.

      @Articulates
Did you click through to Tony's blogs? He teaches guitar. If you still have yours then know that it's never too late to learn how to play.
    2. acousticguitarist
      Thanks TT

I'm currently putting together a whole lot of stuff from the ground up

I really enjoyed that. However up until now I sort of kidded myself that all you you guys were not ACTUALLY real people. I can see I will have to watch what I say, as evidence now suggests you are.
    1. acousticguitarist
I'm real and I can vouch for quite a few others

//EDIT:// although when I get dressed up I'm pretty unreal, could sell you a used car and you wouldn't even know it had happened
  7. Nomadic
    scary shit man
    1. acousticguitarist
that is scary. Although we could spentd our time with robots and just share data. That could be interesting
  8. OutsideMyBrain
That was nice - enjoyed it! Let us know when you get any more up!
    1. acousticguitarist
Cheers, will do. Just testing how the technology works.

      Real stuff coming soon
  9. offendedblogger
I am now officially a Tony Hogan groupie.
    1. acousticguitarist
      Next time I'll dress up

      Funny :-)
    2. offendedblogger
I'm serious! You are very handsome.

Oh, and the guitar playing and singing weren't bad either!
    3. Nomadic
@Tony and offended - Get a room! Sheesh.
    4. acousticguitarist
Nomad (or a little Mad) ... funny

Have you seen Chelle's Blog? It is the greatest.

The guitar playing was really nice! The singing wasn't that bad - what language was it?
    1. acousticguitarist
      That was mumble

I'll set upmikes next time and use subtitles :-)
  11. globalgirl
Woohoo we were able to "meet" the real Tony H!!! If all could only be so privileged! :-)

Now, did you write the song? What does it mean?
    1. acousticguitarist
      Thanks Kat
It's a part of song I wrote about 10 years ago. Thee is more to it.
My son turned on a camera I had borrowed to test when I was sitting around playing. And I thought it would be such a great idea to post it. This is pretty basic quality though. I'm still trying to find the right camera to work with my audio gear.

      The words are:

      Life goes by so quickly
We're old before we know it
Our heart says won't you live your life in love
How often do we show it

Well I hope that when you're older
You're still going to be my friend
And not just be somebody I met along the way
Oh, I wish that I was younger to have my days again
It would have been much easier to find that love again
It would have been so easy to find that love back then

      There are more...
  12. markstoneman
I think it's nice your son wanted to do that.
    1. acousticguitarist
      Thanks Mark

      You're probably right.

      Cheers Tony

5 stars!!!!! is your son musical too?
    1. acousticguitarist
Yes Pamela, he was, and could have easily gone on to be a superb guitarist.

My other kids are musical too. I don't push them though.
  14. Lucyvp
Very nice...I wish I was musical. My husband is a professional musician but gave up trying to teach me to play the guitar because I'm so hopeless at it.
    1. acousticguitarist
great players aren't necessarily great teachers.

I learnt from George Golla, Ike Isaacs, Don Andrews, John Robinson and lots of other players in OZ, not all were great teachers.
