Beside driving and texting and driving and dying while using your cell phones it's about time it's starting to come to light about those little radiation facts that are seeping into your brains. Sure, it's not much when you use it a phone once in a while, but people are addicted to them now and abuse them.

I can certainly say that I am not addicted, nor will I ever be addicted to my cell phone.

When it comes to radiation "yes" I'm concerned. Figures from the American Cancer Society suggest that 6 out of every 100,000 Americans will be diagnosed with brain cancer every year.

According to the Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association (CTIA), specific absorption rate, or SAR, is "a way of measuring the quantity of radiofrequency (RF) energy that is absorbed by the body." For a phone to pass FCC certification, that phone's maximum SAR level must be less than 1.6W/kg (watts per kilogram). In Europe, the level is capped at 2W/kg while Canada allows a maximum of 1.6W/kg.

More concerning still is the radiation of the brains and bodies of children, who have yet to reach their full growth, who are being equipped with cell phones at age 6 and even younger. Children are at higher risk because they have thinner skulls, smaller heads, and their nervous systems are still developing. They have their whole lives before them and before some even make it out of kindergarten they are becoming cell phone users.

People are just nuts with these things. I invented a anti radiation device back in 1999 which made it as far as a manufacturer, till I ran out of financing. I have been against these things forever. Great invention but you could see the abuse coming from miles away.

This expose' discusses research on cell phones and brain tumors, concluding that:

        * There is a risk of brain tumors from cell phone use
        * Telecom funded studies underestimate the risk of brain tumors
        * Children have larger risks than adults for brain tumors

I wonder how many parents have cell phones on their back to school shopping list.

    Probably everyone of them
I don't mind the kids having a phone, it's controlling them, which is a problem, cause the parents probably are addicted to them themselves.

It's a unseen killer, and it's closing in on it's killing time now.
10 years of full blown use for most. You think swine flu is a problem lol watch out when this catches up. Talk about a billion or so dropping about the same time, that will be devastating.

I don't own and cell phone and never have so I won't be among those who are affected by the radiation from them. It's sad to think that many will be.

    The towers will get you.

I have a cell - they are a great invention, they serve a purpose.

But they shouldn't be stuck up everyone's ass all day long.

    Good thing I can't afford a cellphone.

In extreme cases cell phone's have the capability of blowing up a person's brain and can trigger inflammables.
