One of my oldest and dearest friends, Matthew Perdie has come up with an interesting protest idea that I just feltI had to share with you all.

On June 15th, a young American will begin a journey across America. Matt Perdie plans on walking from the East side of Long Island, New York to the West Coast of Southern California. During this journey, he will carry a large American flag in an effort to bring awareness to the government's spending and dangerous increase in power, but don't think that this is Perdie's sole reason for making the journey! Perdie also wants to see the United States of America, and her people, for himself, without the added smoke of the media or other individuals' opinions or stereotypical assertions.

During this journey, Matthew Perdie will document his adventure via video camcorder. With this footage, (and a Macbook Pro he will be traveling with) he intends to cut together a narrative montage sequence of his journey, resulting in 1-2 episodes of his journey being uploaded each week.

So if you are driving down the street and see one of these crazy kids carrying the American flag down the highway, give him a beep and say what's up to Matty for me.
