Both have their merit and their place in the medical realm. There are many great homeopathic remedies. One note--just because something is 'herbal' doesn't mean that it is safe. Many pharmaceuticals are derived from plants (or synthesized following their chemical structure).
I think people should look for natural remedies when possible--I feel we are way too quick to reach for a pill in our society rather than trying other cures (Example--if I get a headache, I try meditating for awhile and believe it or not, that normally gets rid of it).
Pharmaceuticals can save lives--so if you need those alternatives, then you should use them. Eastern and Western medicine can work well together given the chance. -

Umm ... excuse me but I'm confused. I thought you already posted and dropped your link here. www.blogcatalog.com/discuss/entry/how-did-the-word-blog-come-about
When you asked your pretending to be a newbie blogger question: How did the word blog come about? in that thread I assumed that you might actually be new to blogging. However, I checked out your blog and surprise! The contents are that non unique stuff that I see on other sites similar to it. -
unless someone copy what i wrote it is unique it took months to write it let me what other website have the content that i work so hard on

"it took months to write"
I don't understand why it would take months to write only 5 posts of about 250 words each.
I do notice that all 5 posts lack any links to authoritative sources or to references of any kind whatsoever.
When you say "there have been studies" in your post then where are the citations for the studies? Where are the links to the research you rely on? Where are the citations for those references that you consulted that not are available online?

url for your most recent post
nicola-homeremedies.blogspot.com/2008/09/high-blood-pressure.html
This is is a phrase from your most recent post: "Garlic appears to lower blood pressure by 5 to 10 percent. Try 900 mcg of garlic powder per day, making sure it contains 1.3 percent alliin, another medicinal compound found in garlic."
That phrase appears at the sites below (I only listed 3 of them) and all predate your post:
www.goodhealthco.com/full_product/healthyblood405.html
www.moondragon.org/health/disorders/allergies.html
alternativehealth.lifetips.com/cat/55333/conditions/
However, in your post you have no links at all to sources. It's important that we bloggers link to our sources. You can read about that here blog.blogcatalog.com/guest-blogger/do-you-link-to-your-sources/
It's a good thing that you have only done 5 short posts because you can easily go back and add in links to the information sources that you used when you did your research. In the case of anything health related, it's always wise to be doubly careful about revealing your sources. -

Okay. Here's the deal. If you go to Google and type in this phrase "where did the word weblog come from?" and you will get the wikipedia reference that I gave you. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BLOG

When giving health related advice bloggers usually have a statement on their site stating that they are not medical professionals, and that readers must not rely on the information contained on the site as being medical advice suited to their specific situation, instead they should always consult a health care professional before following any health care advice.
Hopefully, this will get you off to a good start. -
Honestly, no one wants you to quit writing--but you would likely do well to listen to some of the more experienced bloggers on the forum, such as timethief. I am a new blogger myself--made some mistakes when I first arrived here but wanted to learn so that I could blog as well as I possibly can.
She is giving you *very* good advice regarding copyright and blogging. If you become known as a blogger who lifts material from others and who does not credit sources properly, you will lose all your credibility. You don't really want that do you?
This is good advice you are being given--
