I am a student at an art school.. Needless to say, homosexuality is very common in the arts. I was recently hit on by a girl and when I told a friend about it she completely freaked out..
what do you think about homosexuality??

I'm a lesbian and I have seen many women who have "freaked out" over women hitting on them. Usually, these very same women come out of the closet years later. Sometimes the act of homophobia is a reflection of who they really are. Look deeper. Also, take the advances from the lesbian as a compliment!

I don't mind homosexuality, but then again I am biased as I am big fabulous homo myself! My thoughts on Homophobia: It's the ignorant views held by people to scared to accept that there are people in the world different than them. People who are too scared to embrace the diversity of human nature. People who are too scared move beyond their own comfort zones. I hold them in the same regard as Racists!

In the words of a previous poster, I'm amazed that anyone is still homophobic these days. It wouldn't have been weird if a dude hit on you but the fact that it was a chick turns it into a whole different ballgame. Beware of the big, bad lesbian! It might rub off! Give me a break. With all the terrorism and war and murder going on in the world, a little same sex action is the least of our worries.
We're all people and should be treated as such. Homosexuality is only considered a big, dirty crime by bigots who have no idea how to accept people who are different than they are. -
I've been hit on gay men lots of times. I take it as a compliment.
And, actually, it's a lot less awkward than being hit on by a woman I'm not attracted to, since I can simply be honest and say I'm not gay rather than having b.s. to avoid hurting her feelings. -
