I'm using my blog to promote my business, so I'm not trying to generate income via ads or anything. I'm curious to know what others are doing -- AdSense? Affiliate Ads? Sponsorship? What are you doing and how is it working?

At the moment, I'm only making money through reader donations, but those are fairly common. I used to have some Project Wonderful ads, but they weren't doing well, so I took them down. If I can get my readership up some and get more pageviews, I might put them up again.

I'm doing the same thing, using my blog to promote my business. Once I get through the secondary round of research I will start promoting my book as I write each chapter.

I generate money from my blog in over 20 ways affiliate products, social spark, adsense, sell adspace, use ad.fly every once in a while, use plr content to create small reports then drive blog traffic to it, and so much more!

I'm up to about $525 per day with my blog.

I actually don't do ads or anything. The purpose of my blogs is to inform people regarding my topics (law on the one and body art on the other), and to draw them to my business websites. I want to be more searchable on google and all that good stuff. So I'm not interested in ads or anything, or making money directly from blog ads.

My one blog is really just for commenting and reviewing objects, articles, news, movies, books etc. It's more like a collection of fun things for myself and a couple of my friends.

My other blog earns me a fairly significant income in a very targeted niche market and it does so automatically No adds, no spamming no anything. Just some SEO work and a few well placed links on the web (damn picky search engines) and poof, sit back and let it work for me.

I tried the pumping ads out, spamming, blah blah blah and it was more time consuming than it was worth. I invested a lot of time and a little money and did some SEO research and optimizing and let nature do the rest.

I run a gambling affiliate website and have both gotten LOTS of money and no money monthly. It truly depends on how much work I do - and how many people visit my site... So I get a lot of variables for my income from my website.

Mostly I run Free bonus offers for online casinos. I have had both lots of traffic and not so much.

I find the more work I put into it - the more money I can make from it.

And A lot of people use my affiliate links to get themselves affiliate placements.

I also sell advertising space on my blog.

So - it can be lucrative based on how much work I put into it.
