Well, I have to agree there. Reading the BC and contributing to the benefit of the community is good and there is no denying that but forgetting that a sure shot way to get rich to just sit and work with a burning focus and a fire in the belly can do more harm than good.

why not try adbrite, I could not generate clicks in adsense any way...as everyone now knows...about it and would rarely click on these.
Adbrite...you can have CPM ads... if you have about ie ad pay per 1000 views..
I have been serving upto $54 per 1000 views. also banner ads...
you can generate money without getting clicks but view...
say...you got 100 visitors per day... you have 300 pageviews average...
its amount to 900-1000 ad views...if you keep 3 banners...
that would generate $0.4-$2 per day without Any CLICKS..
try it...I am starting to have success in it...after 3 months of use

Well for starters stay focused on one niche, actually become a expert in whatever that niche is and the rest will follow. Your blogging will improve as your knowledge increases. So learn everything you can about your niche, internet marketing and blogging.
Personally I feel the biggest mistake people is they try and figure out how to make money instead of figuring out what it is they love. Have real passion for what you do and you will be suprised how much you will accomplish.
When it comes down to it, if you want to make money you still have to do what everyone else does and that is to work hard. People who hardly work hardly make money.
On the internet content is king if you have good content you will make money if your content if content is king than traffic is his queen.
Focus on better content and the traffic will come, of course you will have to optimize yourself for traffic also,(this is where the hard work part comes in)

there is plenty of money to be made, however many bloggers are opposed to offensive content and so they limit their income. Adsense is nice but become an affiliate for some underground music sites or wicked awesome t-shirts and you get a bit more.
