They have those 30 minute infomercials on TV at 3am telling people how they can make a fortune (which never work) when they can be telling people about something that really works and become a hero for it?

Am I missing something?

You're not missing anything. It's a get-rich-quick scheme for the people running it. They don't know of anything that really works because there is nothing that does. If there really was something, it wouldn't be working for long due to the forces of supply and demand. SMC is pretty high up on my shitlist of companies that are just plain ridiculous.

We talked about the formula of infomercials for a while in a few of my classes. The key ingredients are a minimal amount of greed or just convincing you that you need something to solve a problem or a void that just doesn't exist. The first blog I wrote was about infomercials...it's been downhill ever since.

It's a sad world when people prey on the poor or the needy. The only way those schemes even work in the slightest are when you yourself scams hundreds if not thousand of other people who then have to scam more people selling the same fake dream. Nothing on those commercials works and they know it but they know one out of every hundred that get robbed will sell it to someone else or too hopefully lots of other people. His/her way of getting rich is by the money he makes selling you that false hope and when you sell it to others. They are all pyramid scams and the owner of the fake dreams company is the only one that get's rich. When he/she dies I can't wait to see the look on the lords face at heavens gate and the scam artist's when he get's cast into hell and/or has to face the people he robbed and stepped on a long the way to making his money. What goes around does comes around, whether it's in this lifetime or the next. Those scams should be illegal but the Goverment doesn't care as long as they get their tax cut.

There are many honest ways to get rich or at least make enough money to last but it takes a lot of hard work 99% of the time. There was a story on MSN not to long ago about ten people who made it rich. One of those people was so hard working and smart when it came to saving that after 30 years of working for only $11 an hour he retired with well over 3 million dollars and was able to donate almost 2 million to his old school system. He saved and got bought one small apt to rent for income and even got a roommate for his own. The money he got from the rental and his roommate was enough to cover all his monthly expenses. So he took 100% every paycheck and saved it plus invested with very low risk stocks and other accounts and also bought more rentals. After just 30 years he made millions. he started when he was only 22 or so if i remember right. That's just one way and probably the hardest but it goes to show people there are many ways to making it rich.

The only other thing is to be born in another country then the US where they teach you in there school systems how to come to America and take out a loan and easily start your own business with our money. Lol What a world. Here in America they show you that you have to go to college for at least 4 years to get an ok job and 8 years for a great job. Other smart countries teach you it's possible to own your own business while here they teach you how to work for another person or company.

The first thing on the road to try to be rich is to truly believe it's possible and to find happiness in everything in life. If you just do that then you are rich already and whatever else comes is a bonus. It is possible to live in heaven on earth if you can find true happiness inside yourself and when one finds and Feels the lord inside of them. Just my opinion but I swear it works.

Best of luck and God Bless you all. I pray that all of your dreams come true in life.

"One of those people was so hard working and smart when it came to saving that after 30 years..."

Obviously, we'll never see an infomercial with that pitch.

One company went out of its way to try to suck me into a pyramid scheme. Company called ACN, they sell knockoff phone equipment in whatever countries still tolerate them. Anyway, what happened was one of their minions emailed me through a social networking site and asked me for a job interview. I really didn't think much of it until he refused to tell me what the job actually entailed, he was just very vague about it.
But, I had nothing else to do and figured why the hell not. So, I showed up at their office. It took roughly 20 minutes of waiting in the lobby before anyone even approached me. Then we sat through the video with...about 10 other minions and less than 5 other suckers. They even paid donald trump to endorse them, minding the fact that they were kicked out of Australia for running a pyramid scheme.
It's a long story and there's a lot I'm leaving out, but the video ended with some guy giving a spiel and holding his hand out, asking for 500 bucks to join the company..Which gave you the privilege of asking your friends and family to also join the company by paying the same price of 500 dollars. Yeah, it's a pyramid scheme.
It was such a joke. But the presentation was very manipulative in the way they twisted the figures, I can see how some people might fall into it and assume they can make a lot of money by investing a fair amount. This is how pyramid schemes work, just promise something for nothing..A fair amount of greed.

There's lots of scams in the internet marketing too as I've mentioned in my blog: www.home2105.blogspot.com
One has to be very wary and don't let greed creep in; otherwise, you'll have to learn the hard way.

No, that's just you spamming about articles that don't exist. Nice food pyramid, btw.

You are so right Riversty because that pitch wouldn't be worth anything right now and they prey on your impulse buying. I understand how they trap people and manipulate people in those interviews because some people are so concentrated on the goal of trying to be rich they don't even hear what else is involved and at what cost. I would of stood up and told them what I thought of them and informed everybody that you would be a fool to donate any money to these thieves. But it wouldn't of mattered because every 30 minutes or so the next group of victims would show up like clockwork and they would catch someone or a lot of them. And nice calling out the Spammer. Lol I enjoyed that. Think it's about that time for a nap or at least try to since it's almost 7am. Lol have a great day

Blogging does work though. That is my point. Many people make a good side income from it. Why not pitch an honest way of making money like blogging where even a 10 year old can do it?

Isn't it easier than buying real estate with no-money down?
  7. mycutepetpics
That's very true Mikeny07. Because before 4 weeks ago i didn't even know what Html or a blog really was. I have already earned half of my small initial investment back. There are also a lot of ways to do it for free with a free blog setup but we used Typepad.

It is easier and so much more fun I believe. The only problem is the more attention drawn to it or people see the potential of money then every fly by night scam artist get's involved and takes all the fun out of blogging and any real money.

it's one thing when you have 10-20 decent blogs you can turn to for advice then to have to sort through 1000. I see a lot of these fraudulent bloggers just copying and pasting other peoples blog these days and stating it's there own.
I agree 100% Blogging if fun and you can make good money!
