How Did My Discussion Get Locked?

Anyone know how this happened?
I started a topic about "Don't Ask Don't Tell" in the military. About the most current issue with Lt. Dan Choi...the topic seemed to be going well, part from a few trolls (Lisa and Doll)....now I go back to see it and it's LOCKED...
How and why did this happen??

You'd have to e-mail admin about the reason. Usually threads like that get locked if the discusseion goes off the rails and turns into a flame war rather than a debate, but since I haven't seen the thread I couldn't say whether that was the case here or not. -

I found it curious that my "environmentalists mistaken for saboteurs" thread opened a month ago got deleted whilst it was inactive.
Said environmentalists were cleared of all charges and freed after rotting in a cell for 2 months.

As legbamel has stated above, only Admin members have the tools to lock threads on the forum, and contentious threads that contain trolling like the one you point to get locked or deleted. www.blogcatalog.com/contact/ -
Perhaps the discussion might carry unwanted politically damaging consequences if it was noticed by specific individuals on the internet.
I'm not being sarcastic, just a thought for a possible reason. -

My point is that speculating here on the forum as to the reasons why the thread was locked is an exercise in futility. Only Admin can provide the definitive answer to the "why was it locked" question. -

Nice try, lotusb.
Those who have irrationally accused us of being "trolls," might want to examine their own history.
Time Thief.......you sent both myself and DollinNYC harassing "shout-outs" in the past out-of-the-blue. You called us names and insulting comments. I reported you to BC management, and they advised me to block you, which I did. Since then, you have launched many personal attacks on both of us. Your motives for seeking revenge are clear, but is highly immature.
Time Thief.....many of the newer members to BC might not realize that you are not the beloved character on BC that you like to portray yourself as. In fact, as many as five, count 'em, five outside forums have sprung up about YOU and your controlling nature. And on these outside forums, many have as many as thirty and forty BC members, all tired of the way you try and control this board, run around behaving like a "know-it-all" on subjects you know little to nothing about, and try to censor those who disagree with you.
Wager Witch inappropriately continued to criticize Cooking Asshole for what he said in court to his attackers, which was highly out-of-line. After I told her that Cooking Asshole has the right to express his feelings anyway he deems is necessary for his healing from a violent attack, she sent me several inappropriate shout-outs. I had no choice but to block her. But this explains why she has been behaving extremely vengeful, which is so childish.
Finally, lotusb. said many, many abusive things to both myself, DollinNYC, and others who strongly disagreed with her views that it's okay to hit a defenseless child. Her other threads were bigoted and hateful, and I called her on them. When challenged, lotusb. goes on the attack.
Her thread was shut-down because of her own nasty comments, as well as those of Wager Witch and Anok towards both of us. These three don't like being challenged when their views that it's okay to hit children are challenged.
Remember, TT, Anok, and lotusb., when you point the finger at others, there are three pointing back at yourself.
We have reported this thread for you guys trying to incite another flame war.-
I have tried to stay out of this but this little reinvention of history has now gotten me a little riled up. I have witnessed both you and Doll harass, derail and troll thread after thread after thread.
You two have a vendetta against TT and whoever else may choose to disagree with you. LotusB has a viewpoint and is allowed to say what she wants. Her threads have never explicitly insulted anyone and when another member posts a viewpoint contrary to hers, she makes an effort to start a conversation with them.
This is nonsense. Get a life. No one is trying to start a flame war except for you two trying to get members suspended to banned.
I went back and read that thread and the only nasty comments were the ones you two were making.
Grow up.
Also, doesn't it seem weird to you to start forums outside of BC about other BC members? Doesn't it seem the tiniest bit OBSESSIVE and stalkery? -
Hmmmm ... some evidence that can be used in a court of law
(1) a public admission that my character is being defamed by people who have formed a character assassination clique;
(2) and a public admission as to who some of the members of that clique are;
(3) and a public admission that they are the same people, who are currently harassing myself and other members at BC by breaching the community guidelines for forum posting and the BC TOS.

Again, not true. I don't have any forum about other BC members. Believe what you want, but you really are not interesting enought to start a forum about. I have been invited to join forums that *are* about other BC members, but again, don't have the interest. -

- I think it's important for all of us BC members to be aware of what constitutes trolling and harassment, as well as, what the community guidelines for forum posting and the BC Terms of Service state.
My reasoning is that if members of any online community ignore or condone the forum behavior of individual bad actors or cliques when it is in breach of community guidelines for forum posting and Terms of Service, it will slowly become acceptable, and more commonplace, simply because it’s being tolerated.
Also, if Moderators are not made aware of the breaches of guidelines and the TOS by members reporting them, and if they are not willing to act swiftly to put an end to them, then the individual bad actors or cliques can create ill will that will have a lasting negative affect in the online community.

Don't you realize how transparent you are? We didn't bother to start outside forums about Time Thief....other BC members and bloggers did who were constantly censored by her controlling tactics. I wouldn't waste my time starting a forum about her....but have received plenty of invitations by those who did.-

I agree with TT. Those of you who have been on BC for a while know that TT and others accused of being offensive don't have that intent in their nature, at least not on BC. Strong opinions?...yes..but outright attacks?...nope.
I'll continue to ignore any comments that are not productive towards the general discussion topic. Thanks for the info on why my topic got locked, I think I see the reason now. -
