How did you guys meet your partner?
Are there any couples on BC?
I've met my bf while clubbing.
Well, actually we already knew each other from other friends, but at that time he was not single.
When his relationship was over, we've started dating, and here we are... almost 4 years later... househunting to move in together!
Tell me about your stories!

In 2006, online on a free chatroom, with a whole bunch of people from around the world. He actually was rather annoying that first night and it wasn't until we chatted privately that I liked him. I was in Japan and he was in Egypt. We met in Cairo later in 2006 and got married just this year in April.

My internet romance was between S. Ontario (Canada) & New Orleans (US.) We knew one another online for 4 years before meeting. After that it was about 2-3 more years before I moved back to the US to be with him (that was 2003.) We were married about a year & a half ago & continue to live happily ever after.

My friend said there was a cute guy outside. I was curious so I looked at him. The next day, we saw each other outside and offered me for lunch. Since then, we started dating and got married. We've been living together for several years now and our is getting stronger everyday. hehehe...

here is exactly what i tell mine. (with fiery eyes and Satan voice)
For the next 17 years, you are mine! We can't divorce the kids, we can't divorce each other until they are off to college. I'll do my best to love, care and make you happy (so far, so good). If you want to be happy, let's make the best of this marriage and make it work. You cheat on me? I'll make your life a living, breathing hell not worth living
I think he got the message aka Lolita is psycho, lol!
no, really!

We were classmates in high school. I had a crush on him, he ignored me. It was really one-sided and I hated him then.So much that I transferred to another school for my senior year! Imagine?
Forgot about him. Got married. Got separated from first husband, then after 9 years, we met again. This time its for real. He couldn't get away from me now even if he tried! -

I met my husband through friends. We were best friends for a very long time before we became intimate. We have been happily married for over 30 years. If you want to know more then you can read the post on my personal blog thistimethisspace[dot]com titled: Love the one you're with http://thistimethisspace[dot]com/2009/02/10/love-the-one-youre-with/

We met in a Yahoo chat room. He only lived an hour away from me and we clicked immediately. I never had that sort of a connection with anyone I chatted to online before. I couldn't keep him out of my head and vice versa. We met a few days later and were inseparable! August 1 will be our 6th wedding anniversary.. we have 3 kids together and have a bond like no other!!

I met my wife through my brother's co-worker. The week we started talking, I took a European vacation. While at the Trevi Fountain, the dude giving us an informal tour said that if you threw coins in a certain manner you'll get married. Thinking this was BS, I decided to test it and threw the coins as he prescribed. I was married less than a year later. My wife is probably the best blessing God has ever given me. I am thankful for everyday she is with me. All those years of being with the wrong women and going through heartache and frustration was a dress rehearsal for finding the right one who helps give my life meaning and makes every moment a happy adventure.

I met wifey on a bus. She came and sat next to me and just started talking to me... just like that. I have no idea why, but there you go. We have just this day celebrated our 12th wedding anniversary, which makes me as pleased as punch.

I met my current spouse through my ex-husband.
When my ex decided to drink and sit on the couch watching baseball games or other sports... and had other women while I was beyond sick (going through Chemotherapy) ...
He (my current husband) came down into the bedroom and held my head over the toilet while I puked my guts out... cleaned me up and made me eat and walk. He covered me with an electric blanket when I was shivering and he made me laugh when I couldn't think straight. He was a pain in the arse - but in his own way, he is the reason I am alive and functioning.
He gave me his love without asking for anything in return. And he made me realize that true love is more than just having a roof over my head and money to spend.
He made me go out and walk in the parks to get my strength back. He talked to me about thoughts, ideas and plans.
He made me see that love wasn't about the physical only but having faith in the person that you are with - the person that helps to make you who you are - and the truth that love is more powerful than I ever knew was possible. -

I was coaching a group of youth when another coach walked up to me and pointed to Kat and told me she was free. I went up to her and invited her to go photographing with me and she turned me down. She turned me down 4 times before agreeing to go out on a date. Now 23 years later we are still growing in our love for each other.

I live a few miles from an airfield. It was save the planet day, where a group of skydivers jumped naked from an airplane in an attempt to increase awareness for endangered species. It was very windy that day, and a group of skydivers missed the landing zone. My future wife and 2 other of her crazy female friends crashed on my back yard – all naked. This is how I met my wife.

That's so cool. I first met my husband through friends of friends on a clothing optional beach. Full exposure! As we had friends in common we kept meeting each other over and over at different functions and getting to know each other better and better. We became best freinds and the rest as they say, is history.

I was spending the night at a friend's pub playing pool and having a few drinks. The next evening being a Saturday, we were there again. I noticed this gorgeous guy at the back tables and pretty much spent my night making eye contact. Towards the end of the night I headed to the front door for a smoke, passing him along the way.
He said hi to me as I passed, I looked back and gave him a smile but said nothing at the time. I come back in and he's at the other door, putting on his coat .. yep, he's leaving, going going gone ..
I went back a few times as my place was above said pub and never saw him. Two weeks passed and one morning totally hungover, there's a knock at the door. I stumble over and open it, hair all over the place, looking like I just crawled out of the toilet and who do I see?
My mystery man, coming over to tell me something or other about the building... turns out he lived in the apartment across from me, we never saw each other in the hall obviousily.
So, 4 1/2 years and 1 child later, were still together : -
