I wanted to use my blog as the center point for everything I do online in regards to internet marketing and network marketing. I tend to write whatever is on my mind though

Started blogging as a way to cope with my depression. Thought I'd be over with my blog after committing suicide. But now that I'm still alive, I'm stuck to writing in my blog about life as I see it now.

Sounds reasonable. As someone who went through about 4 decades of undiagnosed major depression, an observation: trouble passes. It's possible to deal with some problems. The rest will often go away, given time.
The down side is that it can take grim determination to wait out the sour periods.
And, if you haven't done so already: get a medical opinion. I'm on two anti-depressants now, which make it possible for me to concentrate on something other than fighting depression. These are not 'happy pills.' In my case, I'm using serotonin uptake inhibitors to help balance the chemistry of my central nervous system. There are ways of dealing with some chemical imbalances these days.

I realized I had a full cookbook in my notecard case and decided to take an alternative approach that suits my personality

Two years ago this June, I started blogging about two things very important to me: my attempts to make a living online; and my family.

Within a month, I'd added two more - more about that here: apatheticlemming.blogspot.com/2007/07/rise-of-apathetic-leming-of-north.htm...
The most recent blog I've started is A Catholic Citizen in America catholiccitizenamerica.blogspot.com/
In all cases, I started because I had a personal interest in the blog's topic - and am a writer. A huge advantage that the blogosphere - and the Internet in general - has over traditional print media is that a writer doesn't have to develop a relationship with a publisher in order to be published.
After that, if people are interested - the writer gets read. If not, it's time to try something else.
Why so many blogs? I've got more than one interest, and try to follow the one blog/one topic rule.
Apathetic Lemming of the North doesn't exactly break that rule: it's the blog where I write about two of three things which interest me a great deal: That which- Exists within the Universe
- Exists beyond
- Might exist

Because I decided after a dismal art reception (few bothered to show up even after doing all the postcard invitations and getting a good review by a local critic) that I was going to do things differently. I can't get people to visit the gallery, but I can take my work out to the world. My friend and I formed the Jafagirl art group, and I started my blog and the Jafagirl website.

I started blogging because I heard about how one could make money with Adsense on Hubpages a friendly community of quality writers :

Talking to a friend about the idea I decided to go for it.
I started with a personal blog and now have a blog on empowering women and high heels.

I began blogging to help me rid myself of the fear of the big P...the public.
I thought if I blogged, then I would feel more at ease showing my art work online. I mean, I do have to sign my name, not just splash on a created ID on my artwork. At some point I would sell my art on other web sites, and link to my ad free blog. -
I heard it is a way to make money plus I realized that I like writing.

At the age of 8 we started selling candy to our classmates. At the age of 15 we started working at a daycare. And at the age of 16 we were shift leaders at Sonic Drive Inn.
As twin sisters who thought they would never find their passion in this world, we started thinking and searching.
We knew we had a passion for doing business but didn't want to work for anyone else. We knew we loved to work with other people and enjoyed the convenience of the web.
When we went to college we had to decide upon a major and it was the hardest thing for us to do. Why? Because there was no outcome(meaning career)that we saw appealing to us once we earned our degree.
Then, along came the idea of using the internet and something much grander than a passion was found - it was freedom.
Freedom to live the life we choose wherever, however, whenever.
From that we decided that we wanted to help others live the life they chose without depending on the need for cash or a 9-5 to do so.
We have our mother, aunts, cousins, friends, and even people we don't know that we would love to see living a happier, fuller, freer life.
But, how are they supposed to attain that life working for someone else dreams? They won't!
Which is why we are grateful for having the opportunity to bring Free Money Tactics to the web for others who want to be free but don't have the money to pay for it.
Our desire to be in business coupled with a passion to help others (especially moms like us)is what brought us to this blogging phenomenon, and we are happy to share our knowledge with the web.
Thanks for asking this question, we're glad to be apart of this conversation. -
I started my first (of two) blogs as a journal of my Search & Rescue activities. I never really expected anyone to follow along and didn't promote it. But people started finding it and showing up anyway, and I realized there was a niche for firsthand accounts by rescuers that still had room in it. So now I blog as much for myself as for those who follow.
