Hi Everyone,

How in the world to get my hubby to eat something other than pasta??!!

I love pasta, but my god...this man must have pasta everyday. He creates new pasta dishes every ding dang day.

I can't take it anymore....i'm pasta'd out.

Any advice??

Thanks,

    Kick his ass.

    That should fix him.

Pasta is one food, where you can cook a lot of ordinary things that also taste good on top of pasta as well.

Steamed veggies for example become prima vera over pasta.

meatloaf in tomato sauce can be broken up and used for linguini with meat sauce.

A fried chicken patty makes a good sandwhich.... add a provalone cheese and parmasan on top, add tomato sauce and you have chicken parmasan

Actually I love pasta also. As far as I know it has no fat unless you add loads of cheese. Compared to fast food, it is far better.

Try a little orzo, it's still a pasta, but it's also like a rice.

Start to ask for certain dishes, complexed ones where he has to work hard to fix sooner or later he'll call out for a pizza ;-)

make different meals.. I have a live-in GF she did not eat meat.. So I would make her one dinner and I would make my own and we would both eat together. Where is there a law written you must both eat the same food for dinner at the same table? You rarely do it at a restaurant.. Why at home

Gosh, i'm partial to pasta. Good stuff. Worked in Italian restaurants too long not to. Look into the whole wheat varieties.

maybe, while he cooks and look aside..put some ingredients on it, just to make it tasteless.
Continuing in every ding dang days, until your hubby get enough with it.

Maybe you should try asking Dr. Phil?

Well, I'm Italian, so if your husband is at least mixing it up a bit - trying new sauces or even just adding a few strips of chicken or meat into it, then that's a good thing. Try introducing him to new recipes. When he comes home at night, prepare a nice meal other than pasta - but something scrumptious! He'll thank you for it later!

By the way, the photo of you two is absolutely adorable!

Get him to try some traditional English food... He'll never want to go back to pasta, ever again...lol! (Well, I would say that as I am born and bred in England...LOL!)

Anywayz, best of luck with whichever technique you try. And I agree with your above comment... he will probably enjoy the ass kick too much...lol!
