On my photo blog : prolight.blogspot.com/ the one that actually get visitors ;-):

Most of them come from Technorati (I had a burst of authority don't know how or why, I am at 29 links) which brought a few visitors then direct then google and then a few photo blogs I posted on.

Surprisingly BlogCatalog does not appear on Google Analytics report.

I have GoogleAnalytics set up on my blog and I can see when people come from blogcatalog....

As for my piece.... Depends on the day. Every once in a while people stumble in from Google and various places like blogcatalog. Mostly, they are direct and from my friend's blog (we traded links)

directories, search engines (google, yahoo, msn, and others), community sites (blogcatalog, mybloglog), social networking or bookmarking sites (stumbleupon, netscape, reddit, del.icio.us), forum and discussion boards, link exchanges or "natural linking", recommendation from existing readers, blog carnivals and a couple other "secret ingredients" are my top ones I get the bulk of my traffic from word of mouth, links on other blogs, social networking/bookmarking sites, community sites and google of course!

Most of my traffic comes from all the memes I do that have the blenza.com autolinkies. Some comes from BlogExplosion, and I've gotten a lot from the 2 or 3 days I've been on Blog Catalog.

BlogCatalog, MyBlogLog, Dogster (Have a dog blog), Technorati, Google and various other search engines, various forums, various blog directories, direct... that covers most of them. My blog is only a little over a month old so I'm already getting some pretty good traffic but I post alot! Almost 200 posts already.

Mostly Google & word of mouth. Many users seek computer help when it comes to malware and when it is for free, they flok. My main visits comes from search engines than anything else and being part of a bigger and wider network with other blogs and forums, you tend to crosslink alot. Can't be bad with 2 million hits a month for the whole site.

  31. rileycentral
Google Analytics tells you that. I make new goals every week based on that data. Last week I had a lot of "social" traffic from BlogCat so I'm here as a result giving back. I highly recommend analyzing your data, it has really improved my blogging experience.
