Its official now, Big Phil has taken over as manager at Chelsea. How do people think he will do? Will he last long enough to bring in some serious silverware or will he also stumble at the European championship level? There is a review of Big Phil's career so far in my Blog:

I'd be willing to bet he's not there next year

I am not sure that he will fit to England foot ball atmosphere, gossips, the harsh of press and competition with Ferguson or Wenger, so far in my opinion Mourinho is the one fits to Chelsea with his controversies and capacity :-)

It seems a massive disadvantage to me that he can't speak English, I think he is trying to remedy this by signing more Portuguese speaking players but I think this will just fracture the team spirit.
Also Fergie will have a field day with his mind games and Big Phil's suspect temperament.

Still playing that silly knees-up soccer game are you?

Just kidding - I actually enjoyed watching the Euros. Since I'm totally clueless, is Chelsea a rival of teams like United that you hear so much about?

Yeah the big four in England are Man utd, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool.

I once met up with some Rugby players from Manchester and made the mistake of assuming they were United fans. I'm not kidding when I say I was lucky to escape with my life - although I couldn't understand a blasted thing they were saying to me.

In another faux pas - during a bit of drunken Tom Foolery when we were making toasts to everything from Condaleeza Rice to Lord Nelson, I made the mistake of toasting "god save the queen."

I was able to rectify the situation by blabbering something about the English victories at Brandywine and Culloden over "rebel scum." We then toasted "death to the Jacobites!"

See now you have upset me! My family had their castle burned down for being Jacobites.

If it's any consolation, I'm Catholic.

Why don't you start supporting a proper club Crkian, a club with amber and black ambition and style of play some have likened to Brazil 70. I'm sure if you looked around Yorkshire you could find a club like this.
