How do we know if our ranking is good or not?

One of my blog is in the first few ranking in google's first page.

the blog title is Fruit Juice Magic

When I showed it to one of my friend who is also a blogger, he told me it is not a big deal. My blog ranking does not mean anything.

I am confused.

    Well in a way your friend is right... Your Google Page Rank is 0/10. Amazon and Twitter have Google Page Ranks of 9/10. (So the closer you are to 10 the better).

    It is possible to have 0 page rank and have certain pages show up within the top 10 on a google search because of keywords....

    There are sites that allow you to check your page rank like:
    www.prchecker.info/check_page_rank.php
    popuri.us/

    Also if you download google toolbar you can see the page rank on any page you are viewing right from your browser/toolbar.
