I've heard writing about writer's block helps...I personally just write until it starts to make sense

I've done that a lot, most of my posts have been inspired by one of the major news networks websites, like CNN or CBC!

join stumbleupon (if you're not there already) and stumble through some sites that are relevant to your niche - you can even stumble through sites that match a specific search term - I've always found something that inspires me / that I can post about

(I'm at allnew.stumbleupon.com if you want to visit / review / add me etc)

I've found reading Julia Cameron's "The Artist's Way" (and books other books in the series) helpful for combatting creative block. She's a writer that was once married to Martin Sorsese. The books are aimed at writers, artists and other creative types. I'm not a strict adherent to her exercises. I've simply found ways to adapt her ideas.

writers block is your friend...it's the same as music block...when there's a music block it's time to workshop things.

Also another way for me, I play multiple styles of music, ...so I change styles and it all comes alive

The internet can be a rather sheltered environment for generating ideas, since it's very easy just to end up commenting on the work of others. If you don't have anything to write about then there's no need to do any blog posts, hence more time to do something interesting. Seems like an advantage to me.

I agree with Boltzmann. Get out there, get some sun on your skin. You need to have experiences in your real life to be able to write. Then get back, think of a word: chair, giraffe, cat, bed - anything - and start writing everything that comes into your mind about it - don't stop to punctuate, just streamwrite as it comes.

Don't become a hostage to your PC.

I think emotion is the key...sometimes when I am angry I have mood to write and when I am sad or maybe happy but not if everything is too perfect.

In this day and age of the internet, "writers' block" should be a thing of the past.

All the research material, on any subject, is all around you. It's simply a matter of taking the time to search, gather, manage, sort, organize, and write.
