It doesn't do any good anymore - they've moved on to automated systems where you can't verbally inform them that you are on the registry, leaving them not liable for calling you when they're not supposed to.

Essentially, they're calling and saying "If you'd like to speak with us, please call" or they're dressing the calls up as a check on your "recent credit card account/business account/car loan" whatever to try and get YOU to hit the button, making the sales call voluntary.

What a crock.
