Although it is good to have your RSS feeds and subscriptions option close to the top of the page, I find that when sites place stuff above the content and it encompass the entire section "above the fold" page (like yours does) .. is more grounds to unsubscribe than to subscribe.

    Every post starts with ..
    google ads
    email feedburner
    followers
    then the fold.

Even though you're subscriptions are right at the top, my eyes scanned right past them to your post. I think you're best off putting them over to the right with simple buttons. It's where most bloggers put them and I think that's where people will likely see them, especially if they are looking for them.

Post a subscribe to feed link at the bottom of each post.

      also:

      • Ask people to subscribe, it works

      • show your subscription counter button

You don't force subscriptions. If you write well people will subscribe

Submit your blog's RSS feeds to the feeds directories. If your content is good, you will soon get a ton of subscribers. None of this feed exchange stuff. Just genuinely interested subscribers
