How do you stop an impending separation or divorce? Will you consider marriage counseling? How about marriage ebooks?

I think an accidental fall down a flight of stairs should about do it.

Just ask Mike Peterson, he got away with it the first time. It was the second time that it didn't work!

I found out no matter how much counseling, work or giving in it is not meant to be then let it go. I held on for 5 years after the marriage was over and it sucked for 5 years

Duct tape, it has many uses.
Sorry, a bit of a private joke for those who have been here a while.

Seriously, if both partners are no longer WILLING to be together there is nothing you can do.
Many times people will go to counseling just so that they can say "I tried" when, in fact, they had no intention of even attempting to take it seriously. The best thing to do is make a serious evaluation of BOTH parties willingness to stay together before you even bother with counseling.

Sometimes, you just have to let it go...

I agree with both ekim941 & ToughCookieMommy - if each partner isn't willing to become the best asset to a marriage they can be and then in turn to encourage their spouse to be also then there has to be an end. One person does not a successful marriage make. Letting it go opens the door to healing.
