How long did it take you to get traffic from Google?

Or any search engine, really.
About a month ago, I started my blog on Joomla, and decided that I'd be better off with Wordpress 2 weeks later. Now, when I look to see how my site is indexed on Google, I mainly see links to my old blog version (using Joomla), and not my new links (or any of my newest blog entries).
I've resubmitted the site, uploaded a sitemap to Google, use the All in One SEO plugin, SEO slug plugin, use meta tags and descriptions for my blog and each article, and I don't get it!
I can certainly understand not being high up in the search rankings because my blog is so new, but I've never had a problem simply appearing on google in the past. My blog is: www.ustandout.com... can you see anything that I'm doing wrong?
Any help is MUCH appreciated. Thanks! :-)

Why isn’t my blog in Google? Provided you don't submit your site and you don't immediately have high traffic coming to it and aren't getting tons of backlinks, then the search engines can take 4-6 weeks or more to add any new sites. www.google.com/webmasters/

My blog launched in August and I am just getting daily hits from google in the past two weeks. Something told me to get rid of my SEO pack, so I did and that's when Google started sending me all kinds of hits. Coincidence? Don't know: IT stuff is not my forte (New Age is)!
I would say Diana, produce good content - which you have no problem there, I have seen your blog - network yourself and get yourself out there, but be sincere about it. I think google likes people who are active in the community. -
It took me about 3 weeks after I first started my blog to start getting hits from google. But honestly, I started getting hits from the search engines about 2 hours after I did a little bit of seo on my site. Too bad I waited 3 weeks before I started taking that seriously.
I used this adwords page to look for good title keywords:
adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal
I pretty much use any keywords that have little to no competition and at least 1000 searches a month. I don't really worry so much about keywords in the content as much as writing quality stuff, but I throw a couple in here and there. It really worked out for me. -

Hi Diana,
I had a quick look at your blog and there are no massive issues. However the best way to get indexed is by letting the search engines find you via an inbound link.
As far as your site is concerned I would personally make the title tag the first line of code after the head tag.
META tags mean very little and hold no weight as far as rankings are concerned. (The All in One SEO Plugin is not fantastic)
I would concentrate on getting as many back links as possible and letting google find you that way. Submit to a few directories or submit a few articles.
Just to be picky I would also consider adding a few ALT attributes to your images just to help your relevance.

My blog is about 3 months old. To date, I receive more hits from search.live.com than I do with google. BTW, great blog.
