If you have enough articles, search engines such as google will index the pages and the more pages you have, the more your chance to show up on the search results.

If your articles are well ranked on google, you will receive a nice amount of search traffic.

I have 180 articles on my blog, blog-success.blogspot.com and 240 pages of my site are indexed on google. Many of my pages are ranked PR 2-3 in google and some are PR 4

And off course, the results will depend on the quality of your articles.

5 Articles. And I've only been blogging for about 2-3 days.

Great, I think you are writing more and more everyday? For a great kick start, I used to write a new and interesting article everyday. In the beginning of blogging, I also had written 2-3 articles a day!

    370 posts.

Time between the first and latest post: 2 years, 206 days, 11 hours, 55 minutes, and 29 seconds.

I think you write on a weekly basis. Did you had a long break on the entire blogging life?
    2. voodooKobra
According to the numbers, I post about once every 2-3 days.

The longest I've gone between posts is two weeks. Every post consists of my opinion, and some times I just don't feel strongly about anything so I don't write. Why bore my readers with filler?

I have started blogging recently. My blog is gb-software.blogspot.com/ What determines the quality of the articles? A fresh viewpoint, reference to the source? Syntax? What is your opinion?
    1. voodooKobra
In literary terms: Prose, style, information, and most of all: voice.

59 posts, I think. I've been blogging since the first of Feb this year.

I try to post a minimum of 3 times per week, unless I'm really sick.
    Then it's a minimum of 2.

My blog comes out of a 'content' table in a database. The content can be a full article, with tables, images, etc., or a content record can be just one of the links in my links list.

My content table has about 1000 records in it, most of which generate a link showing up on my home page somewhere. Maybe 400 of those links go to various articles and pages on my site, the rest go to external sources.

120 roughly on one blog, and about 40-something on my newer blog.

      Go to google and type,

      SITE:YOUR-BLOG-ADDRESS.COM

To check how many sites link to you,

I think people should concentrate a lot more on quality than just quantity.
I can see blogs ranking in 3,500,000 Alexa , with well over 200 articles.
What the point of stuffing your blog with copied content? Or just useless ?

My blog ranks in #490,000 Alexa , it is a month and a half old and already gained 2800 back links. Just to point some stats.

42 I started near the end of march this year. So that is about 2 posts a week average, I haven't had time lately to post much, because I have been busy transferring one bloghost blog to a domain, which took up every ounce of my spare blogging time. But now most of the heavy stuff is done I can get back to what I love to do. Write!

102 posts, have been blogging for a year (almost)
I've noticed that some of my posts have been highly ranked by google and, indeed, my blog has been visited more often by fellow googlers than by the regulars. neat.

I've been posting twice a week since August. My readers can't take that much scientific content! However there are lots of static pages on my site and old blog posts get updated often with crosslinks. So far google has indexed 13 of my pages and is not showing any of the 500+ backlinks that Yahoo! shows.

I have over 200, I think (Although Google indexes 173?) and I have no idea what my PR is.

I started in August '07, and used to post a lot, and then cut it back to once a week or so.
