How many followers do you have?

I have learned that with many followers, the better chances of getting Higher PageRank in Google. What's a good "NUMBER" of followers?
My Newsblog1st now has 41 followers while my Your Daily Word has 30. How about you? How many do you have?

I wish I had some great insights to share, but I'm afraid I really did nothing but put the widget out there. I didn't participate in any exchanges, or anything like that.
I focus on content, mainly, for the blogs. So if people want to follow, that's great. If not, that's fine, too. -

I have 36 followers i just started late March and I'm loving it!
my blog is mostly about my recent and past road trips, place I've been through, experience, observation, Photography and whatever pops in mind...
I think in a way this freshen up my mind and makes me explore other mind too...-

I have no idea .... Maybe none. Some ppl stop at my blog take a look and never come back. Others come back. Well, I started my blog at the 21st, so it's too young. Plus, it's a wordpress doesn't have that ... follow me ..stuff that blogger has. very handy indeed.

Woo hoo that is a lot of followers but ya know I don't get what having a lot of followers or page rank does in the end (unless one is running a money making blog perhaps)?
Is it just an ego thing? -
Anyone can get a load of followers it doesn't mean your blog is any good, just means you have a load of followers.
I like the widget because it adds the folks I follow to my feed reader. -
The only thing I can think of is that people feel compelled to join things they think are popular.
So by showcasing followers, bloggers are trying to instill a sense of credibility/popularity to new readers.
Thing is, this can cut both ways. If you don't have many followers, and you still show the widget, your blog may be incorrectly perceived as a blog without much of an audience. -
I like to follow people whose blog updates I am interested in, that is if I remember to do it.

I don't have a "followers" widget. it has never occurred to me to get one LOL
I might be old fashioned but I don't care how many readers I have, as long as they are there because they like reading my blog and not because they want me to link them, click their ads, etc.-

I have 9 now, i had 8 but then i accidentally added myself. Which is kind of appropriate since I think i made my humor blog for the biggest fan of my humor, ME, and by that i mean weird things REALLY crack me up and I think i needed a safe place to go hang out with all my weird inventions, so i appreciate the followers that understand me, plus i use the art of bribery; on the other hand, i love reading all the different humors out there; i can honestly say i have found something funny in every one of them....even the cranky guy:)
