How many of you actually earn money using your blog/blogs and how do you do it?

Like any other business or hobby - it's all relative. It depends on how much effort you put in .. or, depends on the bottom line.

When you earn more - expenses seems to rises too.

I'm already making MONEY as well as adsense.

Sell something that is in your niche. If you're blogging about book then sell a book dont go around selling something that is not in your niche.. simple huh

You gotta get targeted traffic to your site and then sell something that is in your niche... (any niche will do!)

It is possible to make money, but I'm still in the process of learning...and it seems to be coming together... www.reikiranch.blogspot.com

I don't, and I'm not trying to. I'm using my blog as a way to bring information to people, not to make money off of them. If someone clicks on an embedded link to amazon and they buy something, great, but I'm not counting on it.

only started my blog last valentines day cuz i was dateless -_- so hey i decided to start doing something creative - blogging. primarily i just wanted to share my passion towards music and the latest gadgets but after browsing the blog world, i decided one day to say "hey it's a plus if I could earn some $ from doing something cool so why I not try an effort to earn some."

anyways,sorry for that and back to topic so far I earned around close enough to treat myself to Chilli's or something

still learning though earned it thru payperpost, project wonderful and adsense if anyone can suggest more then that would be lovely keep on sharing everyone ^_^

My main blog, no - never. It's not meant for any commercial purposes. I do have a few affiliate clicks on there for writing related websites like Associated Content - BUT let me explain! I offer a free mentoring service to new writers, so I think it's only fair they give me an affiliate click in return. (But this click isn't hidden, it plainly say's - "Give me a click if you wanna, if not, click here" - with just the URL, no affiliate stuffs)

But I also maintain 3 commercial blogs where I do allow advertising. So it's a little of both for me. I just think if you do it - you should make it public. No hidden text link crap, and no hidden affiliate stuff. Say it's advertising or affiliate. If they wanna click - woopie - if not, so be it.

I earn all of my income from the Internet, most of it from blogging. However, a full time income from blogging is hard work, and I'm now looking at developing my own products to sell online.

I added adsense about two months ago and they are holding about $3 for me. About $2 of that is from someone who came to my site, clicked a few ads and then demanded I do the same for their site. I didn't.

I've always stayed away from making money through my blog. Until only a few weeks ago I was persuaded by a friend to try out Text-link-ads.com.
Nobody has bought the any ad spot yet !

But what ever cents and dimes that I might be able to make through blogging I only intend to spend it on hosting and domain services.

Otherwise, I've got a real job to pay my bills and rent.

Have a plan dude. If you want to build an income solely on blogging, you got to learn abit of marketing (maybe alot).

Have a few streams of income pillars - for example, I got adsense which is popular choice. I also got an eBay store integrated. I also actively sell ads locally to biz here.

You can ad more like reviews, ebooks etc etc.

But never ever forget to drive traffic. They should be a huge part of your to do list.
