There has been some immediate discussion and debate on my recent blog post, so i couldn't leave my favorite social friends out of it here at BC. Time to bring it here.
How many of you have done yoga? Or have gotten your partner to do it?
'Getting Your Girl To Do Yoga Will Lead To Better Sex'
Is the post.
And no I'm not posting the link. I am not resorting to committing the crime of 'shameless blog post promotion'. GO AND CHECK IT OUT AND READ IT ALREADY

I have done it in in the past. I said I was going to do it daily while hiking the Appalachian Trail, but that did not happen. I do my last 150 miles later this month, so maybe I will do it then.

I've been practicing yoga for over 25 years. My partner is a sporadic yoga practitioner too. A 2004 clinical study at Harvard Medical School showed that just eight weeks of a simple at-home yoga practice significantly improved sleep quality for the toughest audience — chronic insomniacs. It’s a simple exercise to connect the dots — practice yoga, sleep better, have more sex and better orgasms.
Without doubt yoga does improve your sex life and your sleep as well. I have taught my former students this and I have also blogged about this too in this timethisspace
The most helpful asanas for these purposes are:
Upavista Konasana (Wide Straddle Forward Bend)
Sexual Benefits: Increases blood flow (and thus sensation) in the pelvis.
Baddha Konasana (Bound Angle Pose, also known as Cobbler’s Pose)
Sexual benefits: Alleviates urinary and uterine disorders. Strengthens the uterus. Eases irritability, anxiety and fatigue, three reasons we might choose not to have sex.
Are these the asanas you recommend as well? -
I do Hatha yoga, traditional as well as Bikrams.
I should have started doing yoga years ago, but had the idiotic view that I would hate it because I didn't like stretching. I'm one of those athletic types that is about as flexible as an ironing board.
Yoga has so many benefits. It improves immunity, circulation, flexibility, muscle balance, hormonal balance and spinal alignment. It also reduces stress. Anyone can do it, even those with chronic problems or injuries.
And now, I'm off to my Sunday yoga class! I'll let you know how it goes (and read your yaga post later).
Namaste.
