   I have a favicon on my self hosted wordpress blog. I can't say that I'm really keen on it or on favicons in general. There are quite a few favicon generators available that others may like to use to create one. Here are some links:

   I do but I didn't try real hard to make it look good. Nevertheless, it is part of making your site unique so anything other than the typical will do.

   I have one that I recently created for my personal blog ( I also recently wrote a post about how I made it.), but I may change it again at some stage. I just wanted something that looked ok as a very small icon image, and was red LOL
   
   I didn't like the blogspot default one
   
   I'm going do one also for my photography blog when I find something that will suit it
