Discussions

Step 1: Filter by: Favorite Discussions
Step 2: Scroll down
Step 3: Record the number of pages of favorite discussions you have on BC.

Why? For no other reason than boredom. Discussions you participate in are automatically marked as "favorite" discussions.

Me? 95 pages.

Damn. I've been here for almost a year longer than you and only have you beat by 13 pages?

      13 pages. Friday13. OMGWTFBBQ!
    2. Friday13
      Yep, I have no life.

      Let's see post count ...
    3. voodooKobra
Sure you do. Your life just happens to consist of a series of tubes and a particular spot at the end of them called BC.

      Also:

Perfect philosophical song to go with this line of conversation.
    4. Friday13
      That song is brilliant.
    5. voodooKobra
I know. That's why I linked to it.
    6. Friday13
Oh, so my comment was redundant.

Oh, well. Post count + 1
  1. jflower36
How do you do this again?
  2. timethief
oops! Discussions - give me a second the phone is ringing
  3. dsriharsha
It is the quality not the quantity to consider
but voodoo beats us there too I guess
    1. voodooKobra
Haha, no. My older posts were poorly thought out.

      For example: www.blogcatalog.com/discuss/entry/lane-garrison-should-serve-a-longer-sente...
    2. Friday13
      Someone bump the thread!
  4. jflower36
    I only see 17...that can't be right!
    1. Friday13
Just post something like "I agree" in every thread you find. That's secret of my success.
    2. voodooKobra
      I disagree
    3. jflower36
VK you disagree? What a wonderful logical conclusion. Unfortunately, a standalone conclusion does nothing. Premises, inferences, and examples are necessary to get your point across.

Please include specific examples that not only demonstrate your conclusion.

Someone once said that to me
    4. voodooKobra
I disagreed. I didn't make a claim. No conclusion-- indeed, no argument-- is present.
    5. jflower36
A ha ha would have sufficed college boy
  5. rfburnhertz
    I've only 7.
I prune mine by removing from favorites every week or so when the list becomes too long for my liking.

    I did so just today.
Once I hit "Add Comment" the list will grow to 8.
    1. voodooKobra
Okay, another method is to look at the number of pages total and subtract from that the number of unread pages.

There will probably me a margin of error of 1 or 2 pages depending on how often you read a page but don't reply.
    2. dsriharsha
you've been reading up on your set theory.. good
  6. timethief
    @Voodoo
I don't know wth you are talking about. I never mark any thread as favorite. Where do I find this information?
    Discussions I started www.blogcatalog.com/discuss/user/timethief
    Comments I made www.blogcatalog.com/discuss/search/user/timethief
    1. voodooKobra
      www.blogcatalog.com/discuss/s_recent-f_favorites

Pages are automatically marked as a favorite when you first respond to them.
    2. Friday13
Whoops, took too long to post (that's me being old).
    3. timethief
      @voodoo
I still can't find what you mean. When I click that link you posted I'm looking at the forum front page.
    4. voodooKobra
Huh. It should be a list of discussions you have participated in. Scroll to the very bottom where it says to select the page number and report back with the number furthest to the right.

For the normal discussion board, it should say 1545. If the number is smaller than that, you're in the right place.
  7. timethief
It should be a list of discussions you have participated in

    Where do I find it?

These are the comments I made on all discussion threads www.blogcatalog.com/discuss/search/user/timethief

I used the Discussions searchbox on the forum sidebar --->
and selected the By Username filter.

These are the the discussions I started
    Discussions I started www.blogcatalog.com/discuss/user/timethief
    1. voodooKobra
It will look almost identical to the discussion board home page, only it only lists the threads you have participated in.

It's a filter. Kinda like this one:
      www.blogcatalog.com/discuss/s_recent-f_own

^ That should only list discussions you have started.
    2. timethief
That's nice --- where is it located?

      (1) Go to _________________ and click "_________"
    3. voodooKobra
      www.blogcatalog.com/discuss/s_recent-f_favorites

That's the page. Right there. Just scroll down. It should look like this:

      www.kobrascorner.com/etc/favorites.jpg
  8. timethief
    When I click www.blogcatalog.com/discuss/s_recent-f_favorites
and scroll down I see [253]

Is that what you mean? If so then that's because I have never unchecked any of them. How do I do a bulk "un-favorite" of them all?
    1. Friday13
      Yikes. You win.
    2. voodooKobra
Awesome! Not only do you have me beat in quantity, you've probably got me beat in quality, too.

      [Is that what you mean?]

      Yeah.
    3. dsriharsha
we have a clear winner by a landslide majority
    4. timethief
Yo! I work answering blogging questions all day on this forum, almost every day and that work produces traffic to my blogging tips blog.
    5. voodooKobra
For someone publishing a blogging advice blog, that's a brilliant strategy, TT.
    6. Friday13
But, but ... all work and no play makes ... no, never mind
    7. timethief
Playing is also cool and from time to time I play too.
  9. voodooKobra
Okay, people keep refreshing the page and not responding. I declare a dissolution of the awkward silence. (Yes, that is totally a legal move. Don't look it up.) All in favor?
    1. voodooKobra
Dammit, Friday! Why does everything have to be a federal flipping issue?
    2. timethief
      What's at issue? I won.
I want my ipod & I want it now ....
    3. voodooKobra
An emotion? Stop mocking me. Bleh!

      [What's at issue?]

I declared an dissolution of the awkward silence, asked "all in favor?" and he blank-posted. Arg! I should've seen that coming.
    4. dsriharsha
If there are ipods at stake.. we should wait a little longer..
I am going to post "I Agree" on every unread discussion I can find
    5. timethief
      @voodoo
Hey it's consistent behavior for Friday and he has many other redeeming qualities.

      @harsha
lol ... There are no ipods I just made that up
    6. voodooKobra
You're right. He does have consistency. The consistency of POOP!

    2. Friday13
That reminds me of an old (Warner Brothers?) cartoon. Wish I could find it.
  11. Anok
I've only got 166 pages That seems oddly low to me, but who's counting?
  12. crpitt
    116 for me
    1. Anok

  13. SAHMinIL
@timethief I found mine by going to my profile and on the right side menu there "Favorite Discussion" I clicked on view all.

From that page you if you scroll down some on the right side menu will see "Filter by" and one of the options is "Favorite Discussions".

Like you I've never add anything to my favorite discussions. So I was surprised to see 4 pages worth.
    1. timethief
      @SAHMinIL
Well I went to my BC Profile page and located Favorite Discussions in the sidebar. I clicked "View All Discussions" and the number I see is [1546]
    2. crpitt
You don't need to go to your profile:
