How many pixels wide should my blog be???

I'm thinking of changing my blog to a 3 column blog. I think it's setup currently to be 730 pixels wide (it was a default template from blogger). Has anyone used a template that was wider. I figure by now most people probably have their screen resolution set to 1024x768 (or more), rather than 800x600

    depends on your audience. If it's something like a tech blog, 1024 is a safe bet, but if you have a very broad audience of less computer savy readers, you may want to stay under 800. Unfortunately there are still a lot of computers out there still running at 800x600. just my 2 cents.

    i use 980px wide you could make it fluid

    make it around 960-1090. Though its bit fat but you can leave not so important content on sides If you like you may take a look freesubmitnow.blogspot.com/.
