   I also have to say that if your begging for fans in my opinion it lessons the value of the fans. I know that I often get emails and posts on here and my blog log asking me to favor a person I have never seen. I often wonder how many of those favors on technorati are fron that kind of thing.

   i suck at generating blog interest in general ... i have enough "umph" to get the blog rolling, put up good content ... and that's about as far as it goes.

   That's what I figure.If they show up on their own it's at least valid.
   If I were trying to make a million or so I'd probably feel differently though so there are two ways to look at it. Who am I to say that one should not use whatever is available to them to get noticed.

    I have 121 i think and i did get caught up in the fave me fave you thing, but it gets boring and they aren't all blogs that i like.
    
    But i use technorati now to see if my posts are updated then if someone else's post interests me i go and visit.

    I have no idea how to get more fans on technorati. I think our blog is original, personal and interesting, but my readers don't seem to use technorati at all www.milkwood.net
    
    Maybe I should drop my "fav this" badge... I'm currently displaying it quite prominantly.

    I just looked and I have 4... but I love even my little four I don't really get the whole technorati thing, seems easier just to look up on the top of my screen at my bookmarks and see how many new feeds are there but maybe I haven't grasped the concept very well...
    
    If I do like a blog but don't want to subscribe to the feed quite yet (and I see a technorati button) I always click on it so I can check back periodically to view the blog... so I guess it's good for that ...

    I only have 3 fans and have had them for a long time. I guess aquarium blogging is rather specific so a lot of fans isn't overly realistic.
