How many visitors does your blog average per day?

I'm wondering what the stats look like for some of your blogs. Could you post your average # of visitors a day and how long your blog has been in existence?
My blog is only 1 month old and it currently averages between 30-40 visits a day (probably half of them are from me :P) I'm also mostly ignoring the huge traffic spikes from when someone stumbles your site for a rating review.

My blog is about six months old and I started watching the stats cca. 2 and a half months ago: the average number of visitors has grown from 15-20 to 55 since then, but whenever I entered a new post, it sometimes reached 80-90 per day, which I am pretty glad about. The day my blog got into the Golden Blog semifinal, it totalled at 134 visitors.
(As a Hungarian guy I'm not at all familiar with English internet slang, so I don't know what "stumble" means.) -
Well I was on Blogger and I just imported my post over. Ramblings of a Mad Writer moved to my own domain - World Outside my Window on April 14, 2006.
According to my server statistics Webalizer........
Hits per Hour 809
Hits per Day 19,434
Total Hits 38,869
Total Visits 2,607
Total Unique Referrers 318-
I think your calculations are overinflated. I looked at your stats on the bottom and it does not match your claims. Just thought you should know.
According to the total hits you had on your blog
322832 and you divide that by 15 months (April 14, 2006-now)
That means your average traffic per month is 21,522
I am not sure how you got 19,434 per day... -
dharmagypsy7, would you like a screen capture right from my server?
My web host automatically provides me with a traffic analysis program.

Here is something to educate you on hits vs visits.
www.bloggertalk.net/article156.html
A hit is not a visitor, but a hit on the web server.
What one needs to look at is the visitor traffic.
Here I made my stats public for you.

I do not appreciate being called a liar. -
I thought the topic of discussion was how many visitors you had per day.. not hits. So why not just post the visitors? Why post up the hits too? And I did check out the link you gave me about hits.. this is what the article said word for word
Unfortunately, many web site owners tell you the "hits" to purposely make you think that a "hit" is a "visitor". Don't be fooled again. -
didnt find anything in the stats link u gave
Oops. This is a 404 page.
You are totally in the wrong place. Do not pass GO; do not collect $200.
Instead, try one of the following:
* Hit the "back" button on your browser.
* Head on over to the front page.
* Try searching using the form in the sidebar.
* Click on a link in the sidebar.
* Use the navigation menu at the top of the page.
* Punt. -
I don't believe PrettyLady was intentionally overinflating her stats: most reporting vendors and programs don't make a clear distinction to their users about the difference (and the value!) of hits versus unique visitors. Vendors do love to tell you hits, because it's the highest number-- makes them look good.
But it's always good to keep that in mind that they do that, and instead focus on unique visitors, returning visitors, page views and visit length. That gives you a good sense of your audience and how "sticky" your material is. -
I agree Thriftshop romantic.. at the end of the day.. numbers are just numbers. It's more is your blog contributing in any way. Does the reader gain more knowledge or understanding of the world or the topic you are discussing. Does it share part of yourself that the people would be interested in seeing. Does your passion translate? I think those are the important factors that numbers just do not match.

Aloha.. Well " Tomorrow's Entertainment " has only been up and running for 1 month ( As of tomorrow ) but it has an average of about 50 - 55 daily.. Probably 5 or so of them are from me checking up on it.. But I need to get more visitors and try and get them involved to leave comments etc..

Well... Before June 1st, I have only 30 unique users and 120 pages viewed per day. After I manipulate Alexa traffic and get Stumbled by stumbler, my static traffic is now 270 unique users and 1200 page views....
It increased almost 10 times in one month.
My Alexa traffic ranking went up from 5.5M to 385K in one month.
I need to word harder to get into 200K.-
Wow, that's a serious increase! Good for you.
I haven't even looked into Alexa or SEO optimization, mostly because I don't have the kind of blog that gets a lot of visitors. I try to make it interesting, but it's still mostly a personal blog.
In the future when I start putting out, y'know, helpful information rather than just anecdotes and photos, that's something to think about!

Visitors? The only visitor I get is Aunt Flo and she comes only once a month :o)

PrettyLady - I'm in awe of your stats - 809 an hour! One of my blogs get about that in a month - I have a lot of work to do.
I got 24 visitors yesterday at: diner-roadhouse-joint-dive.blogspot.com/
and 44 at : wokeuptoday.blogspot.com/ -
17 a day average. Influencing the stats though s a news article my blog was posted in two weeks after its inception which drew in 55 visitors in 24 hours (it'll grow, hopefully).
The news article is here:

Mine is 3 months old. I was around 30 VISITORS per day until the stumble stuff started taking off. I'm over 550 avg per day for the last 7 days. I slowed down on the every day stumbling a few days ago and it dropped to 100 some days, a lot still trickles in from stumbleupon.com though. I'm up to a whopping 13 today at 8:00 am.
www.sitemeter.com/?a=stats&s=s38mytradersjournal seems to match what feedburner says, ie the unimportant HITS from bots seem to be excluded. -

I created my site at the end of May. I started using Google analytics on June 23rd. Since I started tracking it properly I have had 492 visits. So apparently I average 49.2 visits per day. I can only assume that the .2 either comes from some loyal tiny readers or people who accidentally enter my site only to leave after milliseconds.
For everyone that has limited traffic I will make sure to take some time out of my day to go visit your sites more often. I love reading various sites and I would love to help out my fellow BC friends. -
Are you all using Google Analytics to track your stats? It's probably not the most accurate - because it requires that your visitors have javascript enabled (although most do), but it does have some cool features like telling you what screen resolution and connection speed your visitors have.
It will differ from your actual webstats provided by your hosting service because that will track everything include any image requests and downloads. -
-
One of the best stats services I've seen is Clicky:
getclicky.com/8589
They have the most visually appealing graphs, and neatly divide up the most informative stats into different menu tags. The basic service is free, but the premium is also free when you sign up for the first two weeks. They roped me in with this. :-D -
confessing7girl, I disabled my stats as I was not going to keep them open, but if you and your friend wish to doubt me and call me a lier I'll open them not that I need to prove anything to either of you.
dharmagypsy7, this is the only time I'm going to tell you. Get off my back.
ThriftShopRomantic, you are correct! I was not overinflating at all or did I post my hits to make me look better. It was discussed in another thread hits vs visitors. I only copied what was on my page assuming everyone here now new the difference between hits vs visits.
I replied to a discussion and I always find it funny how some bloggers begin to attack if you have more traffic, a higher PR or are an A to B blogger.
I don't think I'm better than anyone and volunteer my time to help other bloggers. If I thought I was better, I would not be here!-
Hi, hits provided by servers are not accurate anymore. Cos they count a http request as a hit. Meaning, if I has a page loaded with 10 images. The page load will count as 11 hits, 10 from the image request and 1 for the page itself. Maybe thats what the others meant by over-inflated.
Using 3rd party tracking such as Statcounter and GA gives a better picture of a sites current traffic. Try it. You will love them
-
wow those are some great stats - I am almost there I need to learn real quick as my blog has only been up for 4 months if I want that traffic!

Hi guys I gave a small description on www.popupon.com/2007/06/google-analytics-new-releases.html feel free to visit and read the 2 paragraph info post.
I'm glad I'm with google analytics try it won't be disappointed, it features very descriptive and useful reports, and implementation for off line analysis. -
I'm glad Google updated the interface. It's much cleaner and useful now.
Also, SiteMeter www.sitemeter.com is one of the oldest and a clear favorite by bloggers. -
I started mine last June 25, 2007. I use NextGenStats. Here's my blog stats:
Overall Traffic to This Page in the Last:
All Time: 1810
Month: 1816 775 unique
Week: 1632 720 unique
Day: 146 62 unique
Hour: 10 4 unique
I'm trying out a different counter at the same time. It takes a lot of getting used to.
What do you guys and girls think about mine?
callcenterveteran.blogspot.com/ -
I don't see that I ever answered the original question, but I'll try to do so now.
Google Analytics always shows more visitors than Clicky, so I go with Clicky because I don't like inflated stats.
I went back 90 days. The lowest amount of visitors was 83 on April 17 (probably while I was moving from host to host).
As far as highest? Without counting diggs and stumbles, the best I can average is 140 to 200 visitors per day. My blog is about 13 months old. -
best (delicious + stumbleupon): 8894 visitors (back in jan)
average in the last months is 100-150
uh, while we're talking about google analytics, you may be intrested in reading this article www.mapelli.info/blog/how-to-use-google-analytics-to-track-feed-subscriptio...

Hi ThriftShopRomantic!
Sorry I didn't mean to confuse more than the stats topic itself. It should be:
Overall Traffic to This Page in the Last:
All Time: 1810
Month: 1816---->775 of it is unique
Week: 1632----> 720 of it is unique
Day: 146----> 62 of it is unique
Hour: 10----> 4 of it is unique
That's about an hour ago. Right now it says All-Time is 1825...
I presume these are visits rather than hits... as it says on the stats page ---> www.nextgenstats.com/cgi-bin/checkstats.pl?user=25614294&gmt=y -
Honestly, I don't understand the intent of your question, since the parameters you report clearly and completely invalidate the stats you offer.
Stats are gathered by bots--and bots don't interpret data, rule one of research.
I could quote you STUNNING stats from my blog--over 80,000 sites link to it, readers from around the globe broken down by percentages (40% from Canada, interestingly, where I'm ranked around 120,000).
I've had over 1800 views. Unique visitors? Probably around 20 a day. But this is for a blog not yet three months old. The ink is still drying on your screen for your blog. Both of our stats are meaningless for the time being.

Hi Prettylady,
I think I have the same case as writingtrue...
I think I messed up with google before the end of the month. I think I kept tinkering with the codes since I started this blog and then I got caught with what they call "Google Dance" in june 30. I tried to do some search within a google search I found 1 index but the index title was a dot (.)... which was 1 of the things I was playing with around that time. But that's just the newbie explanation I have for not being indexed in google.
-
I have no idea, but judging by the comments, or lack thereof...my blogs must suck or I am doing something wrong.
-
One stats are not meaningless. I'm not sure what you are going on about? I just went to Alexa, and um I'm not sure why it is recording Google and all those as to linking in to you?
alexa.com/data/ds/linksin?q=link:writingtrue.blogspot.com/&url=writingtrue....
Something is obviously messed up there.-
Don't know either. Just reporting what I see.
And again--the point you all keep ignoring--
WHATEVER those stats are mean NOTHING at this point.
A flash in the pan is easy, especially when the stats are gathered by bots.
And--again, I can't imagine what else I could say here to emphasize that I'd welcome insight into this data.
Instead, I get, as usual, defensive reactions from the bloggers who see this as in infomercial.
I may as well be standing in line for lottery tickets.
Come on. Learn to read what was said, not what you assume.

Hi Prettylady,
That is so true. I think bloggers sould be more aware of the content and not the stats. If one has good content, people will definitely come back for more. That's why the more important "stat" for me is how many people have viewed my logs through self-refering bookmarks. Those are the loyal readers.
Right now I must humbly say i have only 20. But that's is what I'm working on everyday.

Hey .... go for niche .. i did a niche blog ..and still getting 200 hits per day!
fishforfood.blogspot.com
fishios.blogspot.com -
I have no idea why, but one of my blogs had 4,579 views and 8,556 page views an about 18 hours, it had been stumbled I guess. Incidentally that blog normally got about 3 views per day and since the exposure the new readers must have really liked it because I now get 3 readers a day, oh hang on there must be a mistake....
Hummmm maybe I should go back to the day job! -

I started my blogsite early this year, by January. But I'm not getting much visitors. But average visitors per day = 20. Mind to check my site and help me with it? Check in www.writinerary.com

Hello everybody,
75 visitors per day (we have started at the end of april)
danieletdidier.blogspot.com
Thanks to visit it you too. -
Mine seems to go up and down according to the seasons. I don't want to over inflate. Statcounter has been counting since Day one and says
Page views: 220/day
Unique: 165/day
I added Extreme in the middle of April and it says
Unique visits per day: 221/average
There is only a small group of regular readers.

In June www.mobilemarketingwatch.com had:
Unique Visitors: 1,306
Total Visits: 3,814
