I have several blogs and the oldest one I started last Nov. I have been posting pretty steadily (I don't have much traffic) and have still not earned a red cent as far as commission goes. If anyone experienced with affiliate marketing (meaning, you actually make commissions) would like to view my blog and give me some feedback, I would appreciate it. shopperdiva.blogspot.com
Also, I would love to know if anyone is making money from being an affiliate.

Hello Shopperdiva! I have an affiliate site that I promote through my blog. It is a MLM business that was successful for me prior to starting my blog only about 1 month ago. I have received lots of traffic and some shoppers and some interest in joining as a business owner but it is a continual effort to gain exposure. I am not an expert by any means but I learn a lot by following professional bloggers and subscribing to their news letters and watching their videos on Youtube and such. Problogger.net and entrepreneurs-journey.com are 2 blogs I follow. Great places to visit at least in my opinion

I'm with Commission Junction cj.com. That seems to work best for me, since I can link up with products that relate to my blog topic. I've experimented with different ad formats, but interestingly, sidebar skyscrapers appear to work best on my blog.

Shopperdiva, if can give you an advice, there is simply too much going on on your blog, I don't even see where to click in order to shop. There is definitely a need for more focus. More ads is not more clicks, less is definitely better. Try to make it more blog, less ads and less widgets, at least structure and align them better.

And another thing, the only way you can truly compete with the real site you are an affiliate with is to post in-depth product reviews with your own photos of how you make use of a product. It needs to be more than just a simple product description for people to want to know more about the product and follow your link to it.

Earnings? No reason to quit my dayjob, +/- $100/mo, but still 100 more than without my blog.

    Just my two cents.
