I have a collection about reaches about 120GB on my computer and about 300 cd's and about 35 records at last count
how much do you have?

I have more than a thousand CDs( not all about Celtic music) I have 70 gb worth of Celtic artists , hundreds of tapes as well as a few more hundreds of vinyl records. -

I only have 30 GB and about 60 CD's. Do you actually listen to everything?-
Yep I do. I have an ipod which I carry and change files. I also have a cd played just in case. I have to do it because I don't want people to punch holes on my music reviews hehehehehe

a fair chunk of that 120GB is trance and classical so it's not as impressive as you think

I do have a friend who has over 3000 vinyl records, a few thousand CDs ,1 tetrabyte of Music(including Classical) as well as hundreds of cassette tapes. so his is more impressive.

His excuse: he is a music lover. He also works part time as a DJ so he plays his stuff instead of those on the radio. Oh and yeah he is rich so he can afford it.

I agree. If I am rich I will build a castle worth of music libraries from around the world. Now this is extravagant but dreaming is for free anyway

My dream house will have a library with floor-to-ceiling shelves for my books and music. It's going to have to be a very large or very tall room. I'm voting tall, because I want one of those cool ladders on which to go zooming around the room. May be a two-level tower room with ladders on both floors and open up the middle.

I deleted about 30GB of music from my computer. My computer is from the lab and was owned by a guy before, he left me all his music. I deleted almost everything, jajajaa. If I'm not going to listen to it why keep it? He likes a lot of Alternative Rock-Punk and Dance music that I really don't like!

mwahahaha good point Deray I used to laugh at people who has 25,000 music in their ipod. I realized this is nothing when you are a music lover.

I just want a really kick-ass jukebox in which to keep my 45s. I don't like the really expensive one, but that Clearaudio turntable would look awesome in my imaginary library/tower.

I've got...I don't know how many GB, but I do know that I had to clean out my computer at work because I had so many mp3s on it that it wouldn't run any more. I do know that not a week goes by that I don't add a file or ten to the collection. We've got probably fifty LPs and maybe 200 45s and my cassette collection alone runs to nearly 300. There are even a few 8-track tapes laying around, although our only working player conked out a few years ago. We've got a 400-disc changer that's not quite full, but that doesn't take into account things that I've picked up from promotional downloads (Amazon is seriously my friend and I get ten songs from Zune every month plus all of the free ones I want as long as I keep up my membership).
Every single one I've heard at least once. I've got every genre, as far as I can tell, in at least a dozen different languages (most of which I don't understand). Why do you think I've got a music blog?! -

How much Legal music do you have? -
98% of it. I'd much rather own it than steal it. If I like it enough to get ahold of it, I'm willing to pay (at least a little).
Wait - I take that back. We do have copies of rare or out-of-print stuff from a friend who's an even bigger music freak than I am, and I'm pretty sure that's illegal. Let's make it 95%. -

I have just the one CD it's "Celine Dion and friends sing German Oompah's greatest tambourine hits" I play it at maximum volume as a form of musical therapy to cure me of my masturbation habit. -
Not much GB and about 5 actual albums. -
I own exactly one CD which I play occasionally in the car. My wife's a musician and owns some CD's which I sometimes listen to. Mostly, I enjoy singing to myself, mostly old rock songs. -
My music collection is actually very small. I'm very picky about the music I listen to. -

Around 1500+ songs & 5 or 6 coldplay cds only. -
i only got 50gb and i got another hard disk for movies... -
Tons of CDs, although I rarely buy 'em anymore...I have way to much music on the computer, must get an external hard drive!
