How Much Time Do You Spend Blogging?

How many hours in a day or in a week do you guyz/galz spend on your blog(s), either writing, tweaking, designing, replying to comments and e-mails, networking.. etc...?

Hmm I would say around 2 hours per day.. more or less. It always depends on what is happening on a specific day.. -
how many sites d'you run by the way? GAS v.1, GAS v.2, do you run other sites?

Nah, only [GAS] 2.0.. it takes enough time to update already, I don'T want to spread myself too thin.

Some days when I somehow don't get anything done of what I really have to do then I might spend too many hours on my blog and blog social sites. Other days I don't even log on (yes I don't always manage to blog every single day). On average I guess it's between 1 and 3 hours a day. I'm rather new to this whole blogging thing though so I'll maybe post here again in a couple of weeks when I've stabilized a bit (in the sense that there is a lot of stuff I have to do now that I wont have to do then). -
Too many but, still, not enough! Average about 4-5 hours a day I would guess.-

I own 11 blogs, and co-write for a few others. I'd say I spend at least 12 or more hours a week blogging.-

I don't know, but I spend several hours a day in front of the computer. I would say that at least 50% of that is blog related. -
24 hours per day is sufficient for me . heheheh -
I run 3 blogs and spend 5-6 hours a day on them... -

Hard to say. I work in front of a computer in my current job 9 to 10 hours a day. I take breaks and post an update or research for a post whenever a news event or item catches my eye. Probably 1 to 2 hours a day total. Could be more if more news is happening, or less if My job is keeping me to busy. -
Just start bloging, actually 8-12hour a day i'm in front of computer, regarding to my job as IT. -
I had to rethink my answer above. I am in front of my computer 7 days a week and usually between 6.30am to 11pm weekdays and from around 8am on weekends. I do run an online business but I find that I spend time every day reading blogs and writing new content for at least one of mine on any given day. So I need to actually update the figure I'd given as 12 hours a week to probably more like 30 hours a week. eek! I hadn't realised it was so much time!

I can spend anywhere from 0 to 16 hours on my stuff everyday, yeah i know it's quite a range, but no day is the same. -
Wow, that's a lot of time. I have two blogs, but I'm a newbie, and I guess I spend about an hour a week at the most!

True JP...The 'extra time 'analogy we gave for soccer can stretch from 2 minutes to 2 hours and then some. Depends on whats hot n whats not.

I spend way too much time blogging too. But when people are visiting and reading and commenting and actually thing I, little ol me, is interesting, then it gets kind of addictive. I watch very little t.v. and spend a lot of time on my computer. It is easy to be doing other things on the computer and see a notification of a blog comment and take a small moment to read and respond to it.-
I'm the same. I actually had to make myself go and watch TV last night just so I was doing something different :-) I can go weeks without watching it, other than the news when I'm eating dinner at night.

OOPS I spend around eight hours everyday after my 5 blogs... but nothing on Saturday and Sunday! -
generally i spend most of my time no no... all my time on net and on blogging 5 to 8 hours thats it. -

I can honestly tell you that for the better part of the last few weeks that is all I have done. I still do not have the traffic flow that I want, but I am trying to get more products and programs on there as well that I can honestly support. I have six blogs, one i consdier my main blog. I would be grateful for your input on the site and what can be fixed.

I love blogging. I'm not working right now -- which makes it great, so I can blog for hours every day on my own, as well as checking out others' blogs. I have two unrelated blogs -- one content specific, and one personal. I've already gone from Wordpress hosted to my own in a month. I've also experimented with Squarespace, blogspot, and settled in w/ Typepad for one of them. I love to write, come up with my posts and am learning lots as I go. The whole money thing is something always on the burner, but I have a long way to go there. -

7 hours per day, 5 days a week. I manage to squeeze in bathroom breaks as well. -
Too much? Oh...I have Cooking with Anne (listed here) in addition to The Rest of Me and a blog for Disney's Family.com-Cookies to Caviar. I guess that would be about 3 hours a day total with research, setting and taking photos etc, broken up over my day so the kids don't starve lol -

I'm starting to think I might have a blogging addiction! I turn my laptop on at 8:00 a.m. and it's on until about 1:00 a.m. I write blog posts, reply to comments, research new posts, post questions and comments on message boards, visit social networking sites, go through my feeds on Google Reader, submit my sites to search engine directories, tweak my sidebars and plugins...is that a problem?? LOL-
yeah, you should consider attending one of WonderWoman's BAU meetings. look for it in the discussions, we'll all be there!

Eek. I work time in on my blog during the work day to post and usually spend an hour or two at night answering emails, marketing and reading up on how to be a better blogger.-
My blogging usually takes double the time when there are are pretty women involved.

Not as much as i'd like. Maybe a couple of hours a week ATM. -
5 hours, each post has been 2 hours to me -
About five to six hours a day on average since I have lots of blogs and receive lots of email. Then I take a vacation and only make small posts which doesn't take me long at all! :-) -
I think maybe a couple minutes a day depending on what I blog about. Sometimes it takes an hour. But never more then that. -
No more 1 hour per 1 blog.
It's easy if you get Blogger to building some blog. -

I jump between the blog and watching TV. I'm unemployed. So, I got alot of free time on my hands. and I'm single too... so, I got alot of free time. I'd like to be like John Amato at crooks and liars and be a FULL TIME blogger and get paid for it. I'd also like to write for one of the writers syndicates. Imagine... getting paid to write. that would rock.

Ooops... I guess I could answer the question. 6+ hours. depending on the major news. I'm also a night owl... so, I blog when most are sleeping.

I would say around 6 to 14 hours a day All depend if I am at home or hospital for test,there still trying to figure out why I am still alive and volunteer to be a test subject,however in hospital have laptop too -
Jon.... is your question about how much time do you spend blogging when you're in front of the computer? Or inluding when you're away from it? lol... if it's the latter, I'd say probably 34 hours a day, give or take a couple....

lol, well it's true even when i'm not in front of the computer i still think about blog topics and stuff, so i'd say 24 hours a day ! lol the rest is for playing guitar, friends, and special people
wait.. is there only 24 hours in a day? i thought someone changed that!

i notice and am upset by the fact, that i spend alot of time trying to market my blog, and it really takes away from what i should be doing, which is adding loads of content. i get distracted so easily. jeez! -

well, i'm an unemployed person therefore i have a lot of time to spare. and i like to spare it with my blog. i spend about 10 hours a day networking, making new friends, writing, thinking about posts etc etc etc... all that blogging stuff related. =) -
I try to finish all my blog posts within my lunch break or my early morning coffee. so that amounts to about 2 or 3 hours or blog maintenance a day. -
I do writing for my blog for about 1-2 hours per day and then I spend 3-4 hours on building traffic to my site. I am on a mission to make a difference in the world so I feel very energized and inspired.

I'm running 3 blogs on the same platform but it's takes alot of effort of maintaining their performance but I would say 5-6 hours/day. This is for resourcing and tweaking for the content's and finding the relavent info's. -
Hmm...I used to spend 1hour more or less a day on my blogs but I don't have the leisure of internet connection anymore. So I have slacken alot. -

Im new in blog and due to the forex market is 24 hours. I spend almost 12 hours a day. I worry myself may reach to blogmaniac....hahahaaa...! -

I'm a terminal blogging addict. Not only do I love to blog, but I feel that its necessary to network with hundreds if not thousands of bloggers and sitemasters. So, I spend 4 to 10 hours per day on my blog and related tasks. Some days I spend 14 hours blogging. Some nights I forget about the time and BLOG ALL NIGHT LONG, next thing I know, its 7 or 8 in the morning and I am still blogging or completing blog-related stuff.

I have just gotten started! I have been spending a lot of time looking at other people's blogs lately. It has been amazing! The learning curve has me spending a couple of hours a day. The trouble is, I should be in front of an easel not a computer! LOL! -

I only maintain my pautravels.blogspot.com travel blog but I usually take about 2-3 hours writing an entry and probably about another hour for inserting pictures and adding links to my entry... -
unfortunately i have got blogitis and therefore blog for hours and hours in a day...its horribly nasty and terminal -
