Seems like my winter is filled with firewood cutting.
For those who burn wood how much do you use?
I figure I use 10 cords.
I have a 100+ yo uninsulated farmhouse and heat all my winter water with wood. That's why it's so much.
But I haven't bought propane in the three years since we put in the outdoor wood furnace.

Each winter it is different, sometimes around 6 cords, other times up 12. Depends on just how cold it is.. and how long the winter lasts.
Also we just use it to warm the house, not for cooking or water, tho I do keep a pot of water on top of the wood stove to help with adding some humidity to the dry winter air.
