I have no idea on how the prices are made. I saw so many different prices from $1 a week to $200 a week....

may be it could depend on the owner of the site. probably if they are quite confident of the visitors they get per day, they can brag for it and charge as much as they want else charge little.

That's a tough one cause if you charge too much and you don't have enough traffic to your blog, then you might not have enough bargaining power.
Average I think is between 0.07c to 0.22c per click. Could be wrong though.

It depends on how great is your website.

There are many things to consider:

    1) The niche/category your blog is in...

    2) What country you blog from...in regards to any geo-targeting capabilities

    2) The size banner you are promoting (125x125, 468x60, etc.)

    3) Your Alexa Rank, Your Organic Traffic Ratio, Your PageRank

    4) The length of advertising period

    5) The nature of posts scheduled to appear on your blog during that time...

Typically, it would be a flat rate... and most likely a 125x125 ad spot. The advertiser would "test" the conversion traffic rate for the first week and if acceptable, would schedule through the remainder of the month...

Thank you for this question... I am preparing a post from this topic... to "air" in December...

Unlike many bloggers, we always look forward to the opportunity of exchanging links, advertising, writing guest spots, having a guest author...etc.

One million dollars, or more. If I'm going to annoy readers with advertisement, I better get paid a lot for it.
