Been using adsense for 2 weeks and I got $3.65... yay. I'll get to take that trip around the world in oh.. about 40 years. lol

Today.com pays for each post. So, that's $7 per week + you get paid for the number of unique visits. Also, if you're one among the top - you can get extra money specially if you win awards (they have it every month end).

I just started my blog like 3 weeks back and I'm already in their top 50.

i think that's a good starts, my blog rejected by adsense

    Not a dime--just like in 2007, and 2006, and 2005, and 2004.

Your blog is a personal blog ?

you have 5 blog, why there is no profit at all
    2. MadameX
I have six blogs: one is personal, one is about writing, one is about current events, one is about dogs, one is about Catholicism and one is made up entirely of answers to bizarre questions I find in the search statistics for the other five. I'm just not especially interested in money.

I just don't understand this fascination with monetizing a blog. Here is a paragraph from an article I recently wrote -

"In my opinion the average person isn’t going to make money with advertising. Not unless you can get about a 100,000 or more visitors per month. The other thing I don’t understand, and again this is my opinion, why clutter up YOUR website and waste limited space with someone else’s ads? I want people to stay on my site and read my copy. I don’t want them clicking off to some other website to spend their time and their money."

I want people to visit my blog and stay at my website. Period.
I think ads on blogs are UGLY. Period.

      But what do I know.

      Rob

Rob, you're starting from the premise that someone has a blog and then wants to monetize it. The truth is that a huge number of people have zero interest in blogging and have nothing in particular they want to say--they just mistakenly believe that it's an easy way to make money.
    4. SailboaterRob
      @MadameX,

Thanks. Yes, you are correct. There are too many "snake-oil" salesman out there promising great (easy) riches from Internet websites.

Sometimes if we are a good writer, we will dedicated all we do is for something that should we got as a writer, some fans, some readers, and perhaps some money too. As we all can see there are many books made for money. Not all the book is for money but many of them sells for money, And book is same as we do on blog. Ever heard about what we wrote on blog is becoming a book ? The answer is yes. Or maybe someday, there is a company, or millionaire want to buy what are you writing on your blog, what will you do, sell it or not ? the ending is about money. ^_^

That's quite some achievement. I have tried so hard, so far still talking about cents. Still wondering and picking up tips along the way.

$90.53 from Adsense and $73.03 in beer donations. Maybe my $100 Adsense will come by next Christmas so I can by the Chipmunks Christmas album.

Congrats, that is a huge profit.

average 1.5 dollars a day from Adsense and improving. By the end of 2008 hope to make a hundred bucks. Started August 08.
    1. doel
      if 1.5 a day X 30 day X 4 month = $180 great number
  9. juliegaffey
I started in August 08 and am at $10. I never expect to quit my day job, but I look at it like a little piggy bank that cleanse my soul in the process.

$10/month from Qwest Communications to advertise DirecTV in link ad, but nothing else. Been using Amazon Associates to link to movies that have been reviewed on SquidFlicks; nibbles but no bites as of yet.
  16. Frusketer
Making money with Adsense is totally possible - the key is finding a market that will do well - Start a social network, build something of value for the people and you will earn a good amount..

I make almost $900 dollars a month with adsense and thats just for one blog or one niche....build something like that 5 times and you have almost 5k a month.

Check out my internet marketing blog at www.frusketing.com

@SaiboaterRob I think is not bad to always to what you already have. Good increment, bad reduction! Not necessarily a $$$,$$$ figures
  21. Halconite
Nothing. Just friends and readers from other parts of the globe...
  22. trailofpen
Damn you, bringing up old ass threads!
  23. TheExtraExtra
$0! I don't have ad's on my blog so obviously it would be $0. I'm not really thinking that my blog is meant to make money. I still toy with the idea of an Adsense but I think I am going to keep it ad free. Getting readers and people who generally enjoy it are worth more to me right now.
  24. andrewwinearls
about 2 dollars in 2 months!
  25. AtlanticEquity
To be honest, if you are not making at least $100-$500 a month in your online efforts, something is wrong.

There are too many FREE, ONLINE RESOURCES (Yes, I said F-R-E-E) for us to use at our discretion. Adsense is for beginners.

I work very hard online and often the return on my investment does not equal the hours I put into content and marketing/promotion. Maybe it will someday?

Let me give all of you some of the best advice you will ever receive about blogging, internet marketing, and/or social marketing:

"You'll never make one dime online until you stop trying to "make money online" and start making friends and building relationships."
